The Arundell Hotel

Taking its cue from Air BnB , this is a hotel with no Front of House staff and you get sent an access code that works for the front door and your room. Right from the start you feel that it is going to be different. With a private carpark, accessed via the No Through Road off Market Place, you are in a courtyard with two impressive stone Gothic Revival buildings - the old Sessions House (1841) and the matching County Hall of 1927 - which now houses the hotel. Having entered your key code, the doors glide open and you enter a different world. The finishes are amazing - like a high end London hotel, with floors of black marble flashed with gold and large modern chandeliers lighting the void above a stately double branched staircase that takes you up to the rooms on the first and second floors. The room really was an experience in itself - with smart lighting effects everywhere (you can turn them off - and change the colours). The en-suite was designed as a semi-wet room with a walk-in shower integrated into the floor and a wildlife graphic covering the shower wall. There was a breakfast bar-style desk with the usual supplies and modern double glazed windows have been fitted inside the old window recesses, leaving the historic exterior windows undisturbed. A huge amount of thought appears to have gone into the design, giving a room that is well-insulated, easy to maintain (no carpeting) and fun!. Across the courtyard is The Stump (church) and the old town.

The lift was out of service, and I had to carry my suitcase to the second floor.

Great place but Boston wasn't! Unwanted person in the lobby, who had snuck when other guests had come in, refused to leave. I called security who arrived but they had to call the police to get him out. After the cars had stopped racing around the market place by 1.00 am we got some sleep. Not great.

I have stayed at this hotel before and it is very modern in an old building. Feels strange with no reception but everything went well. Room is very modern and clean and tidy. Was very warm so had to have the windows open which there was noise from outside as it seem that kids meet outside in the car park!!! No trouble though. Breakfast room is a great addition and unexpected. Parking is very reasonable £4 for 24 hours but wouldn’t want to stay in Boston center for that long. Had a Thai meals across the square and that was wonderful. Overall I would recommend if passing through

I have a huge bird phobia, I was not warned that there would be giant birds in my shower looking at me. I can’t even ask to move as there is no reception and now I’m stuck with the bird just looking at me, staring and making me think he may kill me.

Stayed in Boston, Lincs. Great hotel. Stay was made awkward by the annual fair being in town!! Town centre roads were closed, and it was really noisy until 11pm.

It is the first time I have booked a hotel without a front reception and you receive a code and it was all great and the rooms were clean and lovely.

When entered the hot, its hot. No windows were open. The only window available was tiny, the blind had to be held up with a pole. The toilet is right next to the wall, have to sit side on. Definitely a room to avoid in the summer as it on the top floor and windows are facing south east. A green house has more ventilation. With so much money spent on the decor throughout the building, a cheap fan isn't going to be any help what so ever.

I stayed one night, it is a fabulous building that has been modernised and revamped to a very high standard, it's is right in the centre of Boston with on site parking at £4 for 24 hours. Whilst not 'manned' the telephone was answered quickly and instructions including a map and how to gain access/breakfast etc was sent over immediately. I struggled to find it via sat nav but the link worked well. I required assistance with my case and help arrived at the agreed time - I loved the hotel, it would have been nice to have had food available but the hotel that delivers was showing as closed on the app. I ventured out but didn't feel happy about the locality and contacted the police due to some anti social behaviour in the market square. The hotel and staff were fab, shame about the lack of policing in the centre but this is a sign of the times unfortunately

Lovely modern room - bit odd not having any staff and wondered about security and not having a presence in the hotel but a lovely comfortable stay.

Good place for couples Placed in town ,great entrance and hallway parking outside is cheap.

Great room but disappointed by the lack of breakfast and evening meal services. The room title booked was with a city view and i wouldnt say that looking at a brick wall is a city view.

Last minute requirement due to family emergency. Very surprised how clean and how big the room and bathroom were. Would recommend.

Stunning entrance/lobby. Room was very underwhelming.

Bizarre decor gives the impression of a former famous shopkeepers bathroom. LED lighting does not add anything unless you only want to spend an hour there. Soulless. Clean though. Noisy outside late at night.

The room I had was finished to a very high standard with some nice touches you'd only expect to find in much higher priced hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Really nice room, We had a good time—town centre so a short distance to walk shops. The breakfast room was pleasant suprise.

Property location was ok. But Room did not have a sofa or 2 chars to sit. We have to sit on the bed all the time which lead to back pain.

Room clean. Shower could do with some tlc but this is being picky.

The location and hotel are excellent, however the noise from within the hotel and from outside all night was enjoyable, one of least enjoyable stays in 50 trips this year, the surround area was very nice with lots of kids hanging around and did nt feel particularly safe.
