Was a lovely simple property in the heart of Bournemouth, only a few minutes walk from the town or the beach. Self check in/out was seamless and they offered a decent self-service breakfast. Room was clean with plenty of amenities.

Was forwarded details for self check in & clear instructions meant it was hassle free. Didn't encounter any staff during my visit, only stayed 1 night & there was a contact number provided but I didn’t need to call for any assistance. Lots of options for breakfast & room was clean & tidy. Self check out was also clearly explained.

Great little guesthouse in a convenient, if hilly, location! Wasn't sure about the shower room being separate to the bedroom but the thoughtful provision of a robe to go to and from it made it a bit better. Very comfortable bed and a fan provided if room was too warm but I managed with an open window instead. Breakfast was a self service, basic, continental but perfectly adequate with a selection of juice, cereal, bread, packaged croissants and pain au chocolate, yoghurt and fresh fruit.

I loved staying in the Bamboo Guesthouse. Jake, the manager, was friendly and helpful. He said 'I was to knock on his door, if I had any problems with my room or ran out of coffee, tea biscuits etc. Breakfast was serve/help yourself and there was a variety of cereal, bread, continental breakfast, juices, milk etc. The paintings and the murals, in the hallway, on the stairs, the landings, my room, and the room where we had breakfast, were very colourful and enjoyable. The only complaint I have and it's a small one: is that the decoration, for example, the wallpaper, paint work, skirting boards etc need cleaning, painting or replacing.

The manager very kindly let me drop off my luggage first thing in the morning and it was waiting in my room when I checked in later in the day. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bed linen was clean but hadn't been ironed which I sort of expected in a B&B. I was there for four days and the room wasn't serviced in that time so the bin was overflowing and I needed to keep going downstairs for tea bags and milk etc. The breakfast was great with fresh croissants and pain au chocolat each day. There was a strong smell of herbal cigarettes the first couple of days.

The stay was ok but left me wondering how this guesthouse has obtained its many great reviews which are very contradictory. Guesthouse manager was polite and friendly but their appearance was not very professional looking at all. This place has potential to be great place but it needs a lot of work. Carpets very dirty. Fridge very dirty. There's a funny smell sometimes. Wallpaper curling. The whole place needs to be refurbed and seriously cleaned. I think the guesthouse is positioned in-between two drug houses as well, it's not rocket science trying to figure that out. Breakfast there was a lot of choice, so thank you for that. Location good, but you have to go up a big hill from the town centre, but good exercise.

The room was smaller than we expected, but it was clean. There was no air conditioning, but the manager, Jake, provided us with a tower fan. The bathroom was also clean with towels and soaps. Jake was very helpful and tried his best to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was generous, with a choice of yogurts, cheeses, jams and croissants. The location of the guest house is excellent, close to the seaside and the town centre. We went to French restaurant Cote for our evening meal, which was also not far from the guest house. I think that is affordable and a very good place to stay. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget holiday.

Very nicely decorated guest house . Was warm but big fans provided. Single room , very nice bathroom external across the corridor ( but private use ) . The manager very nice guy, breakfast continental style served in a bright room. All in all , would recommend.

Location was very good. Near shopping centre in the town and walking distance to the beach reached via a lovely garden. Listed building. Abit pricey, situated right opposite Hilton at similar prices, which had more facilities. Located up a steep hill. Credit has to go the the Manager who really looked after our needs and beyond. Lovely continental breakfast served to us. The Manager Jake was following restrictions of Covid-19, and informed us of these throughout our stay. Downside - we stayed in Roses Room, it had black mould on the en suite walls above the shower, extractor fan did not work and the loo was in awkward corner.

Really disappointing stay. Definitely NOT value for money nor a guest house experience. Cleanliness not acceptable either. Have stayed in half the price premises with totally pristine room and facilities. Shower area and more importantly the water exit/plug area disgusting upon inspection as shower tray water built up. Bed matress most uncomfortable and needing replaced. No control over heating. No atmosphere. Never saw anyone, except on arrival to get keys. Breakfast not continental. No meat selection. Would only recommend this establishment at half the price. Really wonder how this place gets rated highly!!!

Nice, clean room, the one we were in the Green Room a bit small as we had 2 suitcases which were in our way. Lee is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast room and breakfast good. Parking inconvenient, had to park in a parking garage which was quite a distance and expensive.

We booked this hotel through my daughters next perks. Well I am glad I did wow is the best word I can use. Right before the stay we had a text from the owner to ask time of arrival and right from the offset he was lovely and the hotel was perfectly clean and stunning. I will be going back in the summer to have another stay. Loved the breakfast choice and the refreshments in the room for that first morning cuppa. 5 stars is not enough.

There are only 6 rooms in this lovely old townhouse. It is very well maintained, the staff are very friendly and the continental breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone wanting to stay in central Bournemouth.
