We stayed at the hotel while competing in the UK kubb championship. It was a shot walk to the pitches. The food was great and location perfect.

We picked this place at random online, coming in from a 10 day cruise to Southampton. Booking online sight unseen is always a gamble, but this time we hit the jackpot. Totally charming English countryside inn, fantastic food, stunning rooms, very comfy pub, and amazing staff. I'd be remiss if I didn't single out Kate and Tahir, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again.

I booked this hotel last minute for a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The food served in the bar was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to colleagues and friends, and I will certainly be returning the next time I am in the area.
