Good choice for breakfast, nothing missing. Room well decorated, a bit small, especially en suite, but adequate for our needs.

Beautiful pub with lovely rooms in a great location. The rooms were well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with nice toiletries. It was really quiet and peaceful overnight. There was an issue with the kitchen on the night of our booking meaning that they were unable to provide food. The manager and team were fantastic at helping us organise alternative arrangements and absolutely went above and beyond - what great service! Breakfast was delicious so we were really sad that we were able to enjoy dinner the night before but it gives us a good excuse to come back. Bus stop to Winchester (which takes 10/15 minutes) is directly opposite the pub if you want to visit and there are fantastic walking routes nearby. Thank you to The Kings Head team!

Rooms comfortable; excellent proactive customer service when booking rooms and dinner. Good choices for dinner including a very good range of gluten free options: one of the best we've experienced. The restaurant staff provided very attentive service. Located in a lovely village with good access into Winchester.

We booked rooms for 8 of us meeting for a family event. As some came from abroad we wanted to maximise our time together. It was disappointing that there was no communal area or part of the bar area where hotel guests could sit and chat before the pub opened for breakfast at 9am. The only place we could meet together was outside.

Lovely property in good location. Staff exceptionally welcoming/ friendly especially the ladies on breakfast/ evening meal.

Manager / owner whilst mostly pleasant had an unfortunate manner when challenged with the task of allowing paying guests the opportunity of sitting inside 15 minutes before official opening. My 85 year old mother was with us and I’m sure we would have not caused any inconvenience. No cleaning was being carried out in the area despite that being used as an excuse. I had to leave it late ti book and the rate had gone up. Worth the original price but perhaps not £190 a night. Our room was accessed outside. Spacious but slightly disjointed layout. Slight smell in living area. Other members of our party were in other rooms inside the main building which were much nicer. Evening food very nice but portions slightly small and would be nice to have additional vegetables even if options. Apart from that, very pleasant. Comments intended to be constructive
