The property is clean and not too far from the main city. However the property decide on my behalf to give me a crib instead of a pull out couch for my child which they didn’t fit. Then I was told they were sold out and nothing could be done.

Everything was good only thing it was not convenient there was no buses it was on the highway. We don’t have car to drive so there was so much walk to get there.

Friendly personnel, rooms are okay for passing through on your journey, but that’s about it. No airconditioning present, and albeit Swiss doesn’t have much hot days, they don’t give a discount for inconvenience on the days it is hot. Dinner options are next to none, Burger King and Marche are your only -expensive- options. € 30,- for a menu or € 25,- for a schnitzel with a kids portion fries and no other supplements like veggies. Holiday Inn has no dinner options, breakfast is basic but fine. Beware, Expedia indicaties a 50 Swiss Francs fee for pets, but the hotel charges 65 on the spot.

Liked - Ice machine, polite staff, good central location. Disliked - Room and bathroom too hot in summer, no option for second fan. Housekeeping left door to room wide open for hours with our stuff in the room. Shower wouldnt drain, had tobhave maintenance plung it. Overall - it was ok, but would not stay at again.

Great and convenient place to overnight on our way to Italy. Comfortable beds, crisp linen, breakfast that offered anything you‘d want including potent coffee. It is literally on the motorway, with easy parking just outside the door. Accessible building and showers. Very clean. Staff was super nice.

Our room was not clean at all! Dogshi…. On the carpet and the curtons, sink in the bathroom was detached, water went right on the floor! We mentioned it at the desk, answer: come back tomorrow and ask for another room, but not earlier than 9AM cause we wont have anything ready before and you can‘t get into the new room before 4PM!!!!! We did keep our room, i fixed the sink…… cleaning was terrible, we stayed two weeks, all they did is, make the bed and bring new towels and toilett paper, that was it, wat a terrible experience. We wont come back!

Very good breakfast with the added bonus that our 2no dogs were allowed at the hotel for an extra cost & nice countryside walks nearby

The property was overall okay to stay in and the breakfast was fine too. However, the rooms were dirty and all linen covers, bedsheets had marks and stains. The rooms don’t have the AC in them so they are quite hot and difficult to stay in for longer. Also, the phone charging stations in the hotel lobby area do not work at all so we had to buy a new adaptor for our iphones.

I think we were expecting all of the modern amenities of a N. American Holiday Inn, but the space was extraordinarily tight, very small bathroom/shower, no a/c and just a desktop fan to move air. The beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable. I do feel like the space was clean, and the breakfast was nice. The staff was friendly, and it wasn’t their fault that there was a very loud tour group also staying. The location is a convenient stop off the highway, where there are several food options. Across from the hotel there is a farm/park with a lot of nice walking paths. So, overall, some pros, some cons—just depends on what you are expecting.

Somwhat affordable near Lucerne, about CHF40 if you take an Uber each way to get to the Lucerne city center. I loved having a Coop next door, as well as a dining option. You can also order food in, and the staff will help you with utensils. Ice machine in the lobby free for use was a bonus. The bad: not very clean. There was mildew by the bathroom sink and around the shower glass doors. The bathroom also had a faint smell of urine, which you could also smell from the room. The bedroom is also very small for 3 people. Ok for a night ot two, I guess.

Breakfast choices were very good. This hotel is at a “travel plaza”, what US residents would call a “truck stop”. The restaurant at the plaza, Marche, offers a wide range of fresh cooked food, salads, etc. There is also a small Co-op grocery. We chose this hotel because it was on the route of a walking trail we wished to explore, and were pleased with the accommodations and the ease of walking to Sempach. It is not on public transportation but we easily got car service from the train station at Emmenbrucke.

When booked I did not realise that the hotel was in a service station and not where I would normally choose to stay. However, the reception staff really made it a pleasure to stay. Although the services facilities did look that it had good food and drink, we had been driving for 6 hours and wanted to be somewhere quite, the reception girls let us out of the back gate and we drove 10 mi s to the nearest village where we found a lovely wee bistro. The hotel was clean and well maintained and well worth the money.

It was a nice hotel with good breakfast but it was relatively far away from lucerne and there was no air-conditioning which made the stay a bit uncomfortable with the heat wave. We were supplied with a fan though. There was a convenience store near by where you can buy groceries. There was a small park area with benches to sit just by the hotel. There was car parking available.
