Grande maison très confortable et bien équipée. Les prestations proposées sont vraiment haut de gamme. Nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis bien dans la maison malgré les intempéries. Difficile d’en partir après les 2 jours que nous y avons passés.
Il manque peut-être un sèche linge (bien qu’il y ait une chaufferie).

The location of the house.
Far enough outside the town of Thurso to be quiet and away from the main road not to be bothered by passing traffic...but close enough (4mins) to be able to pop into town to buy food, etc...
The weather.......and that was uncontrollable. 😆
We travelled up on the Monday and it rained.
Tuesday......it rained.
On the Wednesday as we left, the sun came out and was 28°c for most of the journey home. 😆
As for the house? We genuinely couldn't find any faults with it.

Location is great. Quiet and with easy access to Thurso. Comfortable rooms and lots of space for a large group. Comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The boot room is a good asset, as is the laundry room ,especially if you are staying more than a couple of days.
I did have difficulty in getting in touch by telephone before our arrival and only managed to get some answers to questions by messaging on Booking.com.
Kitchen is well equipped but I would suggest the cooker hood filters need a quick clean. We didn't need to cook ourselves while we were there but obviously the hob has been used in the past.

Just back from staying at Herdsman House for thr first week of easter and loved our stay. The house is a 2 min drive from Thurso and set in a lovely location. The house itself fit our extended family of 6 adults and 4 kids perfectly. There is plenty of space and a large dining room to cater for everyone. Rooms are all a great size and the back garden was perfect for the kids and having our easter egg hunt. This will definitely be our new go to when we visit family in Thurso
Really can't fault the house at all apart from some jets of the hot tub didnt work.
