Burnside, Dornoch

We were genuinely blown away by the property - it couldn't have been more perfect for our stay. We were spending three nights exploring the Highlands - Dornoch was such a beautiful and incredible area to stay - and obviously, the house is bang in the centre. The house is kept so so well - it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had all the amenities you could need. It's big, spacious and bright but equally very cosy and welcoming. The beds were extremely comfy too!

2nd visit in the space of a year, love Dornoch and love the relaxing atmosphere. Property Management was excellent, two minor issues addressed within one hour. All credit to Catherine, 1st class.

Fantastic location. Just a short walk into town. A very well-equipped and nicely furnished home.

One of the beds in the house had something wrong with the underneath frame so wasn’t very comfortable. Pillows throughout were not great. Whilst the kitchen and bathrooms were well cleaned on our arrival the carpets had not been vacuumed. We even found some old socks from a previous guest partially tucked under one of the beds!

Lovely home attached to another one they rent out. So shared outdoor space. Fantastic location. But wouldn’t return for the outdoor space. For a dog friendly property it wasn’t enclosed. And I mean really not enclosed. Didn’t like being next to a doctors surgery car park as people and cars came and went constantly So garden/car park wasn’t able to be used for sitting out. No useable outdoor space to relax. As they use it as a car park for the 2 holiday homes. So very much exposed. They could put up better fencing and gates. Tried to contact to ask if 3pm check in would be possible. First message 3 days before. No reply. Called and left a voice message day before. Then messaged again the evening before. Never had a reply.
