Burnside, Dornoch

Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Location was very peaceful. Communication with the holiday cottage agency while we were there was excellent and they were very helpful. Building was light and airy. Liked that it had two bathrooms although one of the toilet seats was very wonky (reported so that that will no doubt be fixed very soon). It was newly decorated I think - seemed to be a smell of fresh paint possibly.

There was a terrace outside although there wasn't any garden furniture to sit on and it needed sweeping of leaves. It would maximise the property more if there was maybe a low maintenance garden - just a bit of greenery / shrubs. We had a problem with the boiler but it was swiftly sorted within hours. The TV in the living room didn't work, but there are TVs in the bedrooms and the kids preferred watching TV in the bedroom. It was beautifully decorated but did feel like it could have done with a few more pictures on the walls.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. From the moment we arrived out of the pouring rain into a warm clean house we felt at home. The building itself is full of charm and character. Beautifully maintained whilst keeping that warm homely feel.

Everything was perfect.
