Food was outstanding. Staff was so nice and pleasant, wonderful to interact with. Checked you into hotel and then waited on you at the bar while discussing topics of interest. View was amazing, looking right out on to the loch. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here, looking forward to the next time.

Quiet location, lovely old building and very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Best omelette I have ever tasted.
It felt like the owners were not very experienced in the hospitality business. We didn’t feel very welcomed on arrival. We were told check in was 3pm and we had to show them that it said 2.30 on booking.com. We felt a bit of a nuisance. Only two staff around to run the restaurant and bar which meant long wait times. The superior room was no better than the standard, in fact the bed was smaller. Based on the restaurant pictures we expected to be right next to the loch but we were a fair distance away.

Very friendly staff, lots of parking, great views from the hotel lounge areas and front facing rooms. Breakfast was good, they have a restaurant but we went into town to eat (the Lock Inn was excellent). Hotel was kept very warm too!
The hotel is quite dated and doesn't live up to the outward appearance. Reception rooms are fine but the bedrooms and bathrooms are distinctly tired.
