Wonderful clean and cozy apartment with amazing views
Apart from a couple of small niggles, Our stay was fantastic. The apartment was very welcoming and cozy.
The sofas were all in good clean condition and very comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was a great size and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. We were delighted to find a cupcake tin and accompanying utensils which enabledd us to bake together on our Anniversary.
The view's we amazing and captivating. Every morning, we made a cuppa and sat gazing through the window. The glistening views of Lochness peeking through the trees full of autum colours and the magical views of the sunrise drenching the skies with colour, drew you through the window, making you feel emersed in the beauty of nature. With the comfort of the apartment and mesmerising views, gave a sense of peace and tranquility.
We were truly sad to leave after having such an amazing time, feeling at one with nature and the comfort of the apartment, we are already making arrangements to go back at the same time next year.
The extractor fan was far too low. Both myself and my wife (who is only 5ft) banged our heads numerous times whilst cooking, preparing foods or cleaning. My wife banged her head so hard she had a raised bump and was left feeling quite unwell afterwards. In our opinion, it would be highly beneficial if the extracter hood could be raised to avoid further mishaps.
Although the furniture was abundant and comfortable, some of the wood had faded marks and bemishes, lightly caused by drinks not being placed on the supplied coasters. Although still perfectly useable, it sadly diminished the aesthetics and made certain parts appear scruffy.

A beautiful setting and loved the stained glass windows in our apartment!
Everything was excellent

The Abbey was a pleasant change from our usual choice of accomodation.
We liked everything about the property- the comfort, the roominess of our apartment, the facilities on offer, the welcoming wine ( lovely touch),the convenience to shops and walks, the uniqueness of the property. So enjoyable.

Elegant and Luxurious.
Absolutely magical. A castle was on our bucket list to stay in and this was very close to it.

Appreciated the beauty of the Monastery and the grounds and how close it was to town. Also a very close drive to Inverne
The old monastery was gorgeous. Beautiful grounds and everything around it. Seconds walk from the village. Right on Loch Ness.
There were no towels when we arrived and as it was late we had nothing to dry off with but a bath mat. We had been traveling for 32hours and had to have a shower before we could sleep. There was also a pair of dirty underwear in the closet of the bedroom that never got taken out. There was a strange smell in the kitchen and living room area. I emailed and messaged about the towels and they still didn’t get to me until 11:10am the next morning. We were also not in the main building which was a surprise to me because they don’t put descriptors on all the rooms.

Unique stay, absolutely incredible!
The location is absolutely FANTASTIC, right on the loch, walking distance from the cutest little town and absolutely stunning grounds. The building itself is repurposed from an old monastary/school, it's also well mantained and lovely to walk around and see all the different facilities in the building. They have a lovely pool, billiards room and other spaces for entertainment. The space itself was also clean and well equipped.
We booked an apartment suited for 6 people and the third room was an open loft space above the kitchen which was just a bit awkward for a couple. Not a problem for a short stay but not great if you plan on staying longer.

Quaint and comfortable! So enjoyable!
Would have liked to have a small room fan but will know for next time.

Location
Although the gentleman “Mike” who met us to hand off keys was great, that was about the only good part. Mike and the location 10/10
Otherwise….NOT as pictured online. Gave us different room then we booked. When we called, wouldn’t change it, claimed it was what we booked even though it wasn’t. Had to ask for more towels so we would have enough for our stay. (Only provided 1 towel each) No air conditioner! Spoiled milk in fridge. WAY overpriced for what you get. False advertising!!!

We were blown away by our stay and couldn’t have been happier!
The location, the history! All of it!
The stairs, haha!
But the view was worth it!

We thought we were staying at Hogwarts and ended up in what resembles a tired Premier Inn.
The location is great. Fort Augustus is very well located to visit the highland.
We thought we would be staying in the abbey, which has plenty of charm and architectural character, but we were actually in a block of flats on the same grounds. The Raven Wings is a concrete building that looks more like a budget hotel. We felt deceived, especially since we had contacted Highland Club directly before booking to make sure we would be staying in what appeared to be an old, characterful abbey.
The flat itself was not clean. There was a strong smell of greasy pans, which I immediately put in the dishwasher. The kitchen had been wiped but not properly cleaned—the tiles were still sticky. The plaster around the windows was falling apart, and the bathroom wasn't much better: it was somewhat clean, but the tiles were coming away from the wall, and the ceiling showed signs of water damage. The walls would need a clean or repainting.
So, no, we did not stay at Hogwarts.
The swimming pool and spa had to be booked well in advance of your stay, and getting a two-hour slot during your visit is not guaranteed.
I wouldn’t have minded a slightly shabby flat if we were truly staying in a historical building. But if you're placed in a modern, boxy structure, cleanliness and quality of services such as access to pool and sauna become even more important.

Very disappointing
Lovely room
The description of the property said there was a sauna in the room. Upon check in we found the room did not have a sauna. The showers would no stay hot for more than a few seconds at a time. We contacted the booking agent, it took a whole day for maintenance to contact us. We were told the water was an ongoing issue. We checked out early as the cold showers were not fun when it was 5deg and raining outside. Not good enough considering the amount we paid for the stay!

Ok, not coming back, overpriced.
Simon was best host he told all about the place, showed all .... Very kind person, thank you Simon.
Pool was working only till 5pm and booking.com shows 9pm, misspelling, also showing restaurant is there but its not. After I learned that all info is in there website, but I booked in booking.com where its shows none of the TRUE info. Water is not enough for larger families, no shower gel nothing like that. For the price paid, would be nice to have slippers and shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser...... On top all that we wore asked to take rubbish to bin, what hotel will ask to take your rubbish and brig it to large bins?

Mini moon as we called it, it was perfect and we will go back
The location and the facilities great for a break away or holiday views are stunning
Perfect location for exploring Loch Ness and it’s surrounds. Very short walking distance to amenities in town and the grounds were immaculate. The apartment was clean and spacious. Well equipped kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi connection and smart tv. Two excellent showers in the apartment and the pool was a fantastic addition to this facility.
The mattresses on the beds were a little on the soft side, although that could be just personal preference. Although the doors to all to the rooms were heavy to stop noise travelling throughout the apartment was great, it would have been handy to have a few door wedges to have the option to keep them open. The living space can feel a little dark and although there are plenty of lamps, perhaps brighter ceiling lights would help.
Very minor details.

Disappointing
The house was clean and the area is beautiful. Loved the pool and the gardens. Enjoyed watching the cricket. The beds were comfortable apart from the horrible pillows
Been before about 3.5 years ago and was very impressed. Unfortunately not so this time. Everything seemed in need of freshening up. Sofas extremely uncomfortable and saggy. Cushions were disgusting - all matted. Rug in living room and carpets in bedrooms also matted and worn. Bathrooms smelt bad but no way to air as no extractor fan. Unable to open window in 2nd bedroom. Pillows very flat, definitely need to be replaced.
When I booked was told we would have 2 large double beds but one quite a small double. Also told we would have a view over the cloister gardens but instead stuck in a passageway outside a fire exit with a view of a blank wall. When I booked, was told the address was 13 The Old School but when we got there, we were told we were in 5 The Brothers Wing. I did query this with the only member of staff we saw and was told I would have to take it up with whoever i booked through. Also told we would be provided with robes to use when going to the pool but had to pay for them.

Wonderful stay and we hope to return.
The apartment was stunning and had fantastic views of the Loch. The location is ideal and was a short walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The facilities had been limited due to the pandemic however we were able to access the pool facilities on a booking system.
I did not feel that we should have been charged for the pool facilities. My understanding is that pre-pandemic this was inclusive of the price paid. It was £20 for four of us to swim for 45 minutes and when 2 other families are also in the pool it means there is very little space to actually swim.

Superb
It was a lovely apartment in a 17th century fort, from the times of the Jacobite uprising, formerly a school and monastery, the buildings and location are stunning.

Superb
The property was very spacious for our family of six, it was very comfortable and very well situated in Fort Augustus. Everything was close to hand like shops, cafes, and the loch. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly recommend it.
What we didn’t like was for the amount of money we paid, we would have expected everything in the apartment to be in good working order. The toaster was only working properly on one side. The gas cooker had one of its burners not working, which made it quite difficult to cook at times.
We were not happy that the so called coffee table had a lose glass top which overhung and caused a nasty injury to one of my family, cutting him on the leg, so we were forced to remove it for the remainder of our stay, as that was a health and safety issue!

2 night stay
Beautiful location very helpful staff member on arrival
Very disappointed as nowhere did the literature say our apartment was in a 10 year old extension to the abbey. The communal areas were tatty and not clean when we arrived or cleaned when we were there and the accommodation was ok if I knew that is what we were getting and paid lot less. It was an extortionate price (just under £800 for 2 nights) which in order to get the location and what we thought was a lovely ‘olde worlde’ part of the Abbey, we accepted. The website ‘cleverly’ hides pictures of the modern extension and the description of our apartment very misleading. We were devastated at the amount we spent for what we got.

Poor
Location good for exploring the area and eating out.
Standard of maintenance. Smelly bathroom, mold on ceiling, leaking waste pipe, dishwasher facia coming off, no shaver point worked. Vacuum was unusable until hair ball was removed from vacuum pipe and filter cleaned Facility didn't have what was advertised e.g. music player, dvd player. Not up to hotel standards as advertised. Far too expensive. Staff rarely seen and unresponsive.
