Major's Apartment 3 Bedroom Self Catering Property in historic Abbey

The location was excellent. Right on the shore of Loch Ness - a stones-throw from the heavy, wooden, double-door of The Abbey - a most impressive, ancient, architectural building, which housed every facility. The swimming pool, sauna, steam room was gorgeous, held within the beautiful, creamy-yellow stone pillars with ornate windows. The table tennis, snooker room were great too, one of which had a Harry Potter vibe. I loved the square inner courtyard where you could sit or play giant chess, surrounded by cloisters and felt so peaceful. The whole place had a very relaxed feel with so many activities on site to enjoy. There were tennis rackets and balls in the flat and we enjoyed great fun on the the tennis courts. Our flat had all we needed for breakfast and little treats which was lovely. The flat was clean, beds comfy, rooms large, heating very efficient, parking right beside the front door and the guy who gave us the keys was great. He gave us a guided tour which was necessary as it is a large building, and he was very pleasant and informative, offering his service for any further queries.

Die Lage der Unterkunft am Loch Ness ist traumhaft schön! Die Mitarbeiterin die uns in Empfang genommen hat, wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft selbst im historischen Gebäude (Moat House 2), sehr groß und geräumig.

Die Sauberkeit könnte verbessert werden. Vor allem sollte einmal wieder renoviert werden. Vieles in der Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und abgenutzt. In den Badezimmern schimmeln die Fugen, der Teppich ist muffig. Dies passt leider nicht zum Preis-Leistungsverhältniss (900€ für 2 Nächte mit 2 Erw. + 3 Kinder).
