The facilities, amenities and apartment were the absolute perfect place to get snowed in for a few days. We had the most dreamy time!

The Old Monastery is a lovely place to stay, and the location is excellent. The Games room, pool, table tennis etc are great for rainy days and after a full day out looking for Nessy. A short walk to the shops which are great. Lots of takeaways and restaurants. The roll top bath was nice, and good water pressure in the shower. Lovely Artwork on the walls and very homely. The downstair bedroom area is much bigger than upstairs. It was very quiet and we enjoyed being there, however if I stay again it would be in another appt.
The lounge/dining room and kitchen are quite small and cramped.
In the master bedroom there is no chair to sit and do your hair and makeup in front of the mirror, and it would be lovely to have a T.V in the bedroom.
The security light in the reception is faulty and all through the night it comes on and off, shining into the master bedroom. I complained and the chap said he spoke to the management company but nothing was done in the 5 nights we were there.
The website states several welcome items would be waiting for us, but in reality we got one bottle of prosecco and a pack of biscuits.
The pool is nice but a pain in the backside having to book a slot for an hour. It would be nice to just turn up, but I guess too many apartments for that.
The worse thing was the mattress in the master bedroom, it was like sleeping on concrete. I found a spare duvet and put that under the sheet which helped with the numbness, but we thought it was very uncomfortable. The bedding and duvet itself was very nice and in general the furnishings are of good quality.
