Old School Apartments Highland Club

Beautiful setting with spacious accommodation. Good communication from staff. Lovely apartment, clean and with everything you needed. Use of pool, sauna and steam room free of charge was an added bonus.

The sound proofing wasn’t great so quite a lot of noise coming from below my bedroom on the Saturday evening.

Absolutely excellent! Easily the best property I have ever stayed in on booking.com The apartment we rented was in top condition with all things catered for. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The Highland Club is excellent, within yards of Loch Ness, and has amazing activities to do whilst there. The standard of upkeep of facilities was very impressive. I will definitely stay there again with my family.

The location and atmosphere of The Abbey is second to none. It’s an experience to be able to stay in such a unique building, rich in history. The pool and games room are amazing, our 11 year old son really enjoyed the outside soccer pitch too. The central location and walking distance to the cafes and lock gates of Fort Augustus, are perfect.

We stayed in apartment 6, Old School. The apartment had an awful smell of curry/food, as soon as you walked in. It did not leave for the whole 7 days we stayed, even after the staff gave us another air freshener. The kitchen walls had old food stains etc and the apartment in general is a little dated. The worst part of our 7 day stay, was having to sleep on the TERRIBLE mattresses each night. The 2 single beds are tiny and the mattresses are possibly still the same ones the monks slept on! 😂 You can feel every metal spring.
