Excellent property, great location.
As with a lot of properties over the last 3 months the property management do not have a quality checklist to assess the condition of items such as hot water taps, heating controls, front door bolts and security.
A simple function test check list would identify maintenance items and avoid customers having to justify why things do not work as expected.

The property had good facilities such as the swimming pool, table tennis and snooker. The grounds were beautiful, right on Loch Ness and a couple of minutes walk from the main part of Fort Augustus. The bottle of wine and goodies on arrival were much appreciated. The apartment was quiet and felt comfortable.
The mugs in the apartment were way too small, couldn't have a proper cup of tea in them. There was a lot of pressure to provide a specific check in time which is hard when you're travelling with a toddler. The booking system needs looking at as people will book and not turn up, my husband tried to book the gym but it said it was full, he went to check it out anyway and it was empty.

The building is exceptional and the apartment was very comfortable and clean. There was a lot of information to help plan our stay. You have to book your our pool time which was not an issue. The sauna and steam room were also great. The games room and grounds are amazing and the atmosphere around the place was very pleasant. The kitchen was very well equipped. It was a great place to spend New Years week.
