Loch Ness marathon base! Outstanding!

Extremely comfortable apartment with all the amenities and more that you need. The grounds themselves are magical and the pool, steam room and sauna that you can use are also great. The view from the apartment is lovely and I liked the fact there was a washing machine within the apartment so then I could wash my clothes after running the Loch Ness marathon. Really can't fault this place and I will absolutely be back.

Enjoyable stay in a beautiful location.

Wonderful stay at the abbey with the perfect location, tastefully decorated apartment, ideal for two people. It was generally very clean, and there were plenty of cups, plates, and utensils for four of us if you invited a couple of guests for dinner/drinks. The facilities are excellent and representative of the website. The welcome bottle of wine, shortbread and the basics such as coffee, tea, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, loo rolls and bin bags were very welcome. We made great use of the kitchen, freezer, fridge and washer-dryer which all worked perfectly. The views of the grounds from the main double doors were excellent especially watching the rabbits running around in the early morning. Get up early 6-7 and have a walk around the grounds down to the loch. It never fails to impress

The apartment did not supply a hair dryer and after looking around and reading the visitor book we discovered that we had to call the building manager to have one delivered. This is a simple fix and a common complaint from previous guests. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't seem to work, so if you like a steamy mirror and bathroom then no worries. The double bedsheet on the first day was freshly laundered but had mouldy stains from top to bottom along the folded seams and had to be changed. The pillow cases were both put on inside out. The pots/pans were all very tired and in need of replacement. They were also all dirty and had to be washed thoroughly before use not in line with cost performance. These points should have been picked up by a simple check. Overlooked dirty pots and pans are no excuse. There were more pros than cons for sure but at the price we paid for 7 days, we did expect a higher standard of housekeeping preparing the apartment and a couple of issues that the owners could easily resolve as aforementioned. As a personal note to the owner - we have stayed at the Abbey many times since 2003-ish, from premium accommodation to cottages and we observed a drop in standards with the housekeeping. The Abbey is busier and I think the level of staff needs to be increased to cope with the demand of check-outs and to maintain and expected high standard we became used to in previous visits

Unique, comfortable facility in the heart of the highlands

this was quite a strange but wonderful apartment, set in a converted boarding school and Abbey. apartment as well appointed with a substantial lounge kitchen area separate bathroom and comfortable bedroom. There was a beautiful relatively school swimming pool and spa area a window looking out over the highlands. The situation is right at the south-western end of Loch Ness. It is also right on the Caledonian canal and the sequence of locks which is the main feature of Fort Augustus

some people might not enjoy the long walks To get to the different facilities, but we enjoy the long echoey corridors. There are virtually no staff on the property apart from the lady that checked us in and then disappeared. he would not be able to arrive late.

An amazing place

The Highland club is a fabulous place in the most beautiful setting, the gardens are well kept and having Loch Ness in your back garden was amazing and sitting on the lawn enjoying the views was wonderful. The Abbey is a fantastic building and t he apartment had everything we needed for our weeks stay and we will definitely want to visit again.

Difficult not to enjoy the Abbey and Fort Augustus but as we are paying for a high quality stay itt

Location is excellent. We are frequent visitors to the Abbey and so is easy to make comparisons.

The accommodation was for four people. However, the settee was angle shaped and was not comfortable for three people - it would have been worse if there had been 4 of us. If we had been staying a week I would have definitely asked for another comfortable chair. Did not spoil my experience but not the standard I would expect from staying at the Abbey. We were in Raven 16!

Peaceful place

Fantastic location, tons of wildlife, comfortable bed and functional kitchen. The view of loch ness is alone worthy of the price. Comes with a tiny dishwasher, so no washing dishes for a week!! :)

The only downside was the shower. There was no warm water and we had to shower with cold water in the last couple of days. Not sure why.. But aside of that was a perfect stay.

Beautiful property . Everything you need and more . Only one tiny gripe . The pillow case protectors which I know we need more than ever at this time were very noisy to the point they woke us in the night . Maybe some different ones would work better . Other than that everything was faultless . Really appreciated the wine and shortbread on arrival !!!

La estancia PERFECTA!

TODO! Es el lugar perfecto para unas vacaciones ya sea en familia, en pareja, solos... La ubicación es única. Es tal como se muestra en las fotos. Una abadía del S.XVIII en la mismísima orilla del lago Ness pero con las comodidades actuales. Apartamento totalmente reformado e impecablemente limpio. Tendréis todo tipo de facilidades, parking, piscina, billar, pin pon..todo en estancias históricas. Salida directa al centro de Fort Augustus, tendréis cerca un Spar, tiendas y restaurantes. Y por último, una atención excepcional por parte de Fernando que nos hizo un tour al llegar, nos dio indicaciones súper útiles y estuvo siempre atento a cualquier petición (aunque no hizo falta porque no nos faltó de nada!). Volveremos!
