Extremely comfortable apartment with all the amenities and more that you need. The grounds themselves are magical and the pool, steam room and sauna that you can use are also great. The view from the apartment is lovely and I liked the fact there was a washing machine within the apartment so then I could wash my clothes after running the Loch Ness marathon. Really can't fault this place and I will absolutely be back.

Wonderful stay at the abbey with the perfect location, tastefully decorated apartment, ideal for two people. It was generally very clean, and there were plenty of cups, plates, and utensils for four of us if you invited a couple of guests for dinner/drinks. The facilities are excellent and representative of the website. The welcome bottle of wine, shortbread and the basics such as coffee, tea, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, loo rolls and bin bags were very welcome. We made great use of the kitchen, freezer, fridge and washer-dryer which all worked perfectly. The views of the grounds from the main double doors were excellent especially watching the rabbits running around in the early morning. Get up early 6-7 and have a walk around the grounds down to the loch. It never fails to impress
The apartment did not supply a hair dryer and after looking around and reading the visitor book we discovered that we had to call the building manager to have one delivered. This is a simple fix and a common complaint from previous guests. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't seem to work, so if you like a steamy mirror and bathroom then no worries. The double bedsheet on the first day was freshly laundered but had mouldy stains from top to bottom along the folded seams and had to be changed. The pillow cases were both put on inside out. The pots/pans were all very tired and in need of replacement. They were also all dirty and had to be washed thoroughly before use not in line with cost performance. These points should have been picked up by a simple check. Overlooked dirty pots and pans are no excuse.
There were more pros than cons for sure but at the price we paid for 7 days, we did expect a higher standard of housekeeping preparing the apartment and a couple of issues that the owners could easily resolve as aforementioned.
As a personal note to the owner - we have stayed at the Abbey many times since 2003-ish, from premium accommodation to cottages and we observed a drop in standards with the housekeeping. The Abbey is busier and I think the level of staff needs to be increased to cope with the demand of check-outs and to maintain and expected high standard we became used to in previous visits
