Came for a handover of the bride ceremony and we had a blast as a family staying there. It honestly felt like our home.

Comfortable, convenient and well looked after.

Spacious and clean with comfortable beds and a nice spacious living area. My nephew was very excited by the room with two double beds, a separate dressing area and the provision of thick cosy blankets! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. We booked very last minute due to a hospital admission of one of our party meaning we needed to stay longer in Cape Town than planned. Everything was sorted quickly and with ease. Larry was so attentive and kind, ensuring we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was great for us. It was within an easy distance to drive to central Cape Town and we could also easily get to the hospital as needed. Thank you so much for having us at such short notice and for all your kindness.

Great place to stay

Larry and Sammy were fantastic hosts and were always willing to help out with anything we needed. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Good location and ample space. Could do with more of the standard items like dishwasher, bedside lights.

Location was convenient for our group, house was clean and had ample parking for many cars. We also liked the braai area outside. The pool was out of service which was disappointing.

The setup and space in the house is great

The house was not cleaned properly, there were marks on the linen and no hand towels or kitchen cloths were provided and there were a few items in the kitchen like pots etc. that were not cleaned properly. We queried this towards the middle of our stay and the host did well to rectify most of the issues. We also had issues with some items tripping the DB board.

The only thing I feel can be looked at is the braai area. Maybe put down some utensils, tripod for the grid. But these were very small things, and we did manage.

Great vacation spent with the family. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the stay.

The lounge was able to accommodate all 12 guests. Braai area was very convenient. Rooms were spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped and there was backup power for load shedding.

The house was large, in a nice location. The host was accommodating and quick to respond to our needs. The house was clean and the hosts were very kind and friendly. Our group was often split up and they happily would open the house for us if someone ended up at the house without the keys.

The house was pretty bare bones. There weren't enough towels for all the guests we booked, there were no paper towels, sponges, etc. in the kitchen. The house is advertised as large enough for 14 adults, however one of the beds is a sleeper futon that is not large enough for two adults. If you are only putting kids on there it would be fine, but I personally had a miserable night of sleep on that futon with another adult.

Communication with Larry was great. The Villa is very spacious with ample space for a large group, and very comfortable. Close to all essential amenities and conveniently located. There was even a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us.

Larry was very welcoming and hospitable throughout our stay. He went the extra mile to meet our needs and always did it with eagerness. The house is both luxurious and homey, we really enjoyed every second of it.

A very lovely property, welcoming and spacious. The hosts are warming and always accessible.

The hosts were extremely attentive and happy to help whatever time of day. As we were there for a business trip, Larry and Samantha tried their upmost to accommodate to our needs during load shedding and throughout the trip. Very lovely hosts!

The location itself isn't great for traveling into Cape City on a frequent basis, and some appliances unfortunately did not work throughout our stay so we had to rely on the hosts to help with our washing. The wifi also had problems throughout our stay. I would recommend getting a Data SIM if you're staying for a while so you can always have internet.

Home away from home

The villa is located close to all amenities and is located at a very quiet part of the Surbub. The kitchen, open plan living and dining area including the bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious. I like the fact that bedrooms provided couples with the privacy they needed. There is a lot of storage space in bedrooms including the kitchen. It's a pity we did not take photos inside the place. The garden is big and allowed my grandchildren to run around while adults were chilling in the sitting area outside. Larry and his wife were very friendly and helpful in providing information about the area. They provided the loadshedding schedule although we did not feel it as the rechargeable lights kicked in every minute it started. They patiently waited for our very late check in as we were delayed by a breakdown. I will not hesitate to recommend the place to my friend and relatives. I'm looking forward to staying there the next time I visit Cape Town. My grandchildren liked the place so much that when we checked in a hotel in Mossel Bay after our departure they demanded that we go back to OUR HOME in Cape Town. Thank you very much Larry for being such a wonderful host. We enjoyed staying at your place. Keep up the good work!

Prestigious Villa - Dec2022 Review

Thanks for hosting us. The place is really nice, it had all the essential appliances as well as ample space. The braai area is well placed, close to the dining area and kitchen for ease of transporting the food items. It is very close to the shopping centre, but away from the main road so you have pricacy.

Only downside was the load shedding, which is out of the host's control. There were backup lights, however more is needed for the size of the house.
