Cute little hotel. Very safe. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Walking distance from the city center, which was appreciated. Free breakfast was appreciated even if it was simple.

Clean room
A short walk into the center
Noisy - hotel is on a busy main road & there is also a lot of noise from other guests congregating in the atrium
Wouldn’t recommend
Wouldn’t stay here again

Big room, lovely decor, great rooftop terrace for guests to use and a communal kitchen as well
The wifi didn’t work in our room which was annoying. There is also a lot of traffic noise but I assume this would be a problem everywhere in Oaxaca.

This hotel is a clean and simple guest house, in a great location.
My husband and I came for our honeymoon, and they greeted us with a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, and a very sweet note. Our room had a super comfortable bed, a big window, and a private patio.
The hotel is just at the edge of the city center so it's much more quiet than staying right in the center, but there are plenty of great cafes and restaurants in the area. From some of the reviews I was expecting it to be farther out from the city center, but it's only about a 10 minute walk, and we found some of our favorite restaurants in the city within a 2 block radius of the hotel. (Check out Tlayudas el Negro, Moogoñé, Taniperla, Índigo, to name a few!)
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, although they don't speak any English so it helps to speak Spanish (or be very comfortable with a translation app)!
Breakfast was a little lacking – very basic, weak coffee with some kind of sweet bread and fruit. There are plenty of places nearby to get an excellent and affordable breakfast if you're looking for something more substantial.

It had a nice, homely atmosphere. It was 10 minutes walking distance from the Zocalo. Around the area, there was a Lil Caesars, a Chinese food place, and a couple a markets to buy food supplies. Oh, and the 3rd floor balcony was large with seating to just enjoy the grand city view. The staff was really nice and accommodating to our stay.

Very clean and with daily cleaning (except on Sunday for some reason)
Very quiet as well. Had AC and blackout shades.
The person at the front desk was very helpful in trying to get a taxi for us to the airport when the city was a mess due to manifestations.
The bathroom didn’t have a door and it was uncomfortable because I was traveling with a friend.
Would have loved to have the drinking water replenished daily.
Location is alright but it does feel a bit far from the center compared to other accommodations. Nothing terrible just be aware that you’ll need to walk a bit more.

We had such a lovely stay at Casa Rosa Mexicano! Even though we don’t speak a word of Spanish and the staff don’t speak English, they were so friendly and considerate and we got along just fine with google translate. It’s located close to the Centro Historico and we felt safe walking home at night. The terrace is great for a morning coffee or sunset beer. Our apartment was clean with reliable power, internet and hot water. Such a great place to stay to support local business. Note that it is called ‘Hotel Rosa Mexicano’ on Google if you are trying to look up more reviews! We got upgraded to an apartment because of ongoing renovations but we also got to see the 1 bed rooms - everything is true to the photos.

The room was beautiful, the location was very good, close to the historic center, by a big street. We felt safe walking to the hotel no matter which time of day or night it was.
The staff was very friendly.
The staff was very friendly, but didn't speak a word of english, eventhough it was advertised otherwise on booking. This is to be expected in Mexico and we would probably not have minded, but when we arrived we had to fill out a form with a lot of personal information (job, place of work, ICE contact) without being able to communicate why they needed this information. Since there was no sign of the hotel on the building and it seemed, that there was no one else staying there (almost all the doors of the other rooms were standing open), eventhough booking said it was fully booked, we felt a little bit insecure in the beginning.

Bed was comfortable. Newly renovated room with a modern bathroom.
little communication over booking.com. we arrived at 1am and could not locate the building and no one was replying. there is a very small window In the room connected to the communal area. Can be very hot in the room so need A/C. you have to pay 500 pesos deposit to use the remotes in the room.
