Great place in Oaxaca

Room was lovely, super big and comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful. Location was soo good! Right in the centre of everything

Location was really good right next to the zocalo.

The hotel did not meet my expectations, really uncomfortable room/ bed, quite noisy during night time, not very clean.

In the heart of the historic center, comfortable and clean

The location is great and the room was spacious and clean. A lot of suggestions for tours. Parking if available is really close by but it is not always readily available.

Do not book with breakfast, the basic breakfast included is just bread, jam and coffee but they bring you the menu for additional breakfast options, it is better to just explore the great breakfast options around the hotel. Only stairs meant it was a bit of work with a baby and pram every time. A noontime nap for our baby was impossible with the shop across blaring music over their loudspeaker but nights were calm and quiet with just a few loud motorcycles

Disappointing stay

The Location

Everything other than the location. Website was deceiving . We were given a very sad looking room with no windows.. On complaining , we were moved to another room which was slightly better . The bathrooms were below average . No coffee making facility in the room . We ordered continental breakfast . It consisted of fruit or juice , very diluted coffee from a coffee urn and slices of bread ! See photo. On one occassion they ran out of the coffee , and said it would take 15 mins for more coffee .As we were rushed to go on a trip, we asked for coffee from the coffee machine perculator , they said tbey would charge for that ! Staff of the front desk didnt not bother to say goodbye etc, on check out . Sadly not a great experience at this hotel.

Great location. Book this place if you can tolerate a lot of noise, and kinda run down room. The location is perfect for touring.

Water pressure low and one night no hot water. Terrible coffee at their restaurant but lots of good options locally. Very noisy.

Facilities were very poor, different staff told us different taxi fares to the airport (250 to 350 pesos), room was not fully clean - we found a biscuit in the floor in the room

I just have had the worse room. Ugly toilet, ugly lightning, room was very small, breakfast was cheap bread slices with ketchup marmalade (only good for trash) and bad coffee.

OK hotel with a great location.

Very clean facility and staff was helpful booking taxi to airport, ordering extra towels, ordering drinks. Great location only two blocks from the main plaza and a few blocks from two markets.

Noisy inside and out. Lobby music played until midnight and, because of central courtyard, early morning staff setup resonated throughout the building.

This hotel has a great feel, with an inner courtyard to enjoy breakfast and drinks. Its in a great spot with an easy walk to all the sights. Plenty of bottled water is provided (seems a small thing but not all hotels in Mexico do and it makes a difference).

The location here is great, right in the heart of Oaxaca city. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice and open, with good facilities. Air con was good.

We booked a balcony room and initially were put in a room with two beds, which made sense when we realised that the beds individually were too small for two adults to sleep in. The room also had no balcony, and no windows. After mentioning this, we were put in a better room with a balcony, but I feel this should have been honoured from the beginning, as we had specifically booked that. The foyer downstairs is echoey and loud from 7am onwards, meaning you can hear all the breakfast noise from early on. They also charged us for bottles of water in the room, despite no sign warning you of this!

Breakfast was included and the fresh fruit with yoghurt good. The bedroom was spacious and always clean.

The room safe barely held our computers and sometimes it was hard to lock… The bread was the boring “wonder” white bread, and not at all up to the standard of the hotel. I ordered hot chocolate and it never arrived, though perhaps the morning staff are not enough to handle serving anything more than coffee? But it was a listed option on the daily menu so why shouldn’t one be able to order it? Especially in Oaxaca, the land of chocolate, it should be the pride of the hotel….
