Bird in apartment

Convenient location near the Cathedral.

There was a bird in the apartment! Stayed at this apartment 1 night. We heard strange noises before we went to bed and the next morning discovered a bird in the apartment. It was flying into the windows trying to escape. We were unable to open any window to free the bird. So we hurriedly packed up and checked out. We notified someone when we dropped off the keys at the front desk of Hotel des Poemes de Chartres where we picked up the keys. She said she would notify the appropriate person and have something taken off the cost. Have not had any communication with the owner regarding the bird.

Provision of a tea towel to dry the dishes is the only think missing, otherwise incredibly good value unit.

It was well decorated, high ceilings, well located and charming.

It’s in a restaurant setting and though they seem to have a very specific time cut off you do hear the servers coming up the stairs and diners dining.

the outdoor key wasn't working, we were lucky the restaurant staff were still there and could open the door for us. There is no parking in front of the building, but there is an underground parking close by.

Lots of space with great location near the Chartres cathedral.

The view of the cathedral was wonderful.

When we arrived early, we were allowed to check into our apartment. However, it had not been cleaned. After calling the checkin desk, a team arrived to clean the rooms.

Charming location in the old city with a few inconveniences

The location of the apartment was superb, with a view on the facade of the cathedral and therefore of the sound and light show (see attached picture for the view from the bedroom). The apartment is in an old building, so a delight for people who like old-fashioned architecture and are tolerant of the mild inconvemiences that old buildings do not have (i.e. sound-proofing not as good, etc.) Overall, the apartment was comfortable and would be particularly good for a stay of several days.

The separation between one of the bedrooms and the living is just a curtain. This is unfortunate because of noise. Whoever is sleeping in that room will be disturbed by noise in the living room and kitchen. Whoever is in the living room can hear everything happening in the bathroom and WC. We had some hiccups such as there are only being towels for two people even though we reserved for three. Since we arrived late in the evning, we couldn't get that fixed until the morning (but then it was handled very quickly). Also, there were no back-up rolls of toilet paper, and the rolls that were on the dispensers were quite low. The city has recently completely reworked the streets around the hotel where we picked up the keys, and our GPS wasn't aware of that yet. Plus, it was unclear where to leave the car while getting the keys. It would be good to warn people that they can park in the drop-off zone at the train station while picking up the keys.

Apartments were great!

The hotel holding keys was completely clueless, except they had the keys, but did not know where these apartments were located. Upon arrival, it was a restaurant - an irritated waiter pointed up the stairs and yes, there we were. We had no idea if anything at the restaurant was included, so one day I asked for coffee and the barista pointed upstairs and I nodded yes, so he did not charge me. The apartments were great, but the overall experience could easily be improved. Upon checkout, there was a hassle because the agent had neglected to charge us local taxes, but after about 15 minutes of taking to her manager, they told us that "local taxes were on the house". Odd.

great location but review the room specifications carefully

location is great. very close to the cathedral. room is very big - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths (one with shower, one with tub). small kitchen. comfy bed.

check-in is at a different property. staff not very polite or helpful (feels like they work at the separate restaurant and have to deal with hotel guests). main bedroom doesn’t have a place to hang clothes. lots of dust on the shelves so my clothes got dirty. no lift to the second floor - lots of stairs.

Great location right in front of the cathedral. Room was large and clean. Restaurant below was very good. Good parking location about 150m away.

It was a bit complicated to figure out where to get the keys. It took about 10 minutes to collect from the hotel as they seemed a bit disorganized.

Une expérience en-dessous de mes attentes.

Les plus : spacieux, vue sur la cathédrale, idéalement situé, salle de bain propre, cuisine équipée.

J'avais réservé la suite pour le premier jour et voulu étendre le séjour, le personnel a mal compris ma demande et m'a donc remis les clefs d'un appartement une gamme en-dessous, lorsque je les ai eu au téléphone ils m'ont confié avoir fait l'erreur mais que les prix des deux logements étaient identiques (impossible puisqu'il s'agit d'une suite contre un appartement...). Aucun geste commercial alors que l'erreur leur incombait, c'est déplorable. L'appartement : lit double avec une séparation en plein milieu, très désagréable et non indiqué sur l'annonce. Poussière et crasse omniprésentes dans la chambre et sous les lits. Wi-fi qui ne marche pas dans la chambre mais uniquement dans le salon. Absence de chiffon pour essuyer la vaisselle. La pression du jet d'eau de la douche est vraiment faible.

L'appartement de ce bâtiment ancien a été magnifiquement restauré, beaucoup de charme, un grand confort avec 2 salles de bain, une cuisine très bien équipée. La vue sur la cathédrale est superbe. Le personnel très disponible et serviable. Vraiment parfait.

Très belle expérience

L'appartement "Chapelle" est très spacieux et bien aménagé. On s'y sent tout de suite très bien. Vue imprenable sur la cathédrale et ses illuminations depuis un des lits et la salle de bain. Le bâtiment ancien et ses poutres de charpente ont beaucoup de charme.

Les clefs doivent être récupérées à la réception d'un hôtel situé à 5 min de marche. Ce n'est pas super pratique. Une boîte à clefs ou un accord avec le restaurant du RDC serait plus efficace.
