A decent stay for the price

Location was great, very close to the cathedral, parking and all the restaurants and bars

The carpets were patterned which I think they were hoping would cover up that they hadn’t hoovered! We noticed it more because we took the stairs. For a 4 star place a kettle and tea/coffee would have been nice-just water left in the room. Leaking tap in the bathroom made a bit of a mess, and there was a smell of drains in the bathroom. The beds were comfy though, and the room was very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of space to get a table. Decaffeinated coffee wasn’t on offer, but we also didn’t ask for it so maybe they have it? That would have been good.

It’s all front with hardly any staff and tiny rooms and basic accommodation

I had booked parking and after a 12 hour drive i turned up and the desk duty person nonchalantly told me there was no space, in the end i got to park.

For the price we were paying I expected better.

Location is great. Breakfast is very good.

We requested parking, but on arrival we were told that there was no parking available. Had to take the car to an underground car park about 15 minutes walk away. Our room was in need of some T.L.C. Bad stains on the carpet, stains on the chair and other things in the room.

Loved the Ambience

The staff were extremely helpful which made all the difference especially with the car parking. The room was comfortable and the location very close to all amenities. The breakfast and setting was great and the theme of Art Deco throughout gave a classic touch throughout. We felt very comfortable and our stay most enjoyable.

We think they were working on the parking area - it was fine but once they levelled the floor surface and tarmac it - The Parking will provide a professional look.

Great reception staff and a good central location - only a handful of car spaces so must pre-book

Location is great though roasd could be a bit noisy in the morning and the windows did not fit tightly enough

A decent hotel, but they need to honour commitments.

Central location opposite station, but quiet. Places of interest within easy walking distance. Clean and pleasant. Lift. Complimentary drink on arrival. Staff helped carry bag from car park.

I had specifically stated that parking was essential for my car and I had received a written message that my request was met and there would be no charge. During journey to hotel I received a message to say parking was not available. Not pleased. Nevertheless I drove into the car park and was allowed to park. I was then charged for the parking, despite showing written proof I had been told it was included in price.

Nice except on soccer championship finals nights.

The hotel is beautiful and in perfect shape. The room was just large enough for me. Great bed, nice bathroom with roomy shower stall.

I arrived on a 30 Celsius day and the room (#102) was hot when I arrived at the time I had announced in advance. The airconditioning did very little, after I switched it on, other than produce noise. So I had to open the window and suffer the noise from riotious crowds celebrating a soccer victory. I slept very little as the final result.

Breakfast was high quality and had comprehensive selections, and the room was lovely and comfortable. The guest room was stylish with a 20s vibe - very nice and spacious with enough room to unpack. Location was excellent multiple good restaurants from multiple cuisines within walking distance, but also a nice short walk to and from the cathedral. The staff were excellent - personal and attentive, and helpful, reacting with urgency to every topic (even if it wasn't important to me). The lobby was also very nice.

A lovely location great service and excellent breakfast.

Staff were amazing. Charlotte responded positively to our feedback and requests and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. We stayed in a lovely Junior Suite with views over to the Station - enjoyed exploring the new areas. Thank you to all the staff they made our visit very memorable. We plan to return again 10/10 all round.

Convenient location with fabulous staff!

They have lovely staff at the reception, they are very polite and helpful. The room is very very small, we think the online photos have actually been stretched. The bed and pillows are comfortable to have a good night sleep. The bathroom is actually good size and the facilities are in fairly good condition. The location is the highlight - it's right opposite the train station and only 5 mins walk to the cathedral. The hotel's own car park was full on the day, so we parked in the nearby public underground car park which is just 2 mins walk from the hotel. It cost 11.50 euros for over night parking. Overall, if you don't mind sleeping in a tidy room, it's a good hotel for stopovers.

Elegant hotel with lovely staff…

A lovely place to stay just a short stroll from the cathedral with very lovely staff who went out of their way to help us. Comfortable, elegant room with cathedral view. It’s opposite the train station so a high room helps negate any noise. The valet parking was brilliant! Thank you for a super stay.

Wonderful stay!

Arrived by car and easy to find. The greeting from the reception was lovely, and we were personally guided to the secure car park. The bedroom room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean but a slightly odd layout to the bathroom. Large basin but nowhere to put your toiletries, also the shower was big but with a clumsy door configuration which made it difficult to enter or leave the shower cubicle. The breakfast was lovely with the biggest fresh croissants, juices, and all the other bits that you would expect from a continental breakfast. We were checked out by Jean Paul, who was so nice asking about our stay, and we felt that it was extremely important to them that we had received a good experience. Also, he was asking if we were staying for the cathedrals light show that was due to start in a few days, which was nice to inform us of this. So, lovely hotel, amazing staff and would 100% return back here!

The toilet malfunctioned during the entire stay. There was constant running of water which was loud. I told the staff about this problem and a woman and then a man came each day to fix the problem. As soon as they left the loud running water from the toilet began again. On the last night the toilet noise was so great I was unable to sleep. Monday morning I asked to speak with the manager. She was not at work. I left a detailed description of the problem and gave my email address and asked that the manager call me. I never heard from the manager and it's now 4 days since i checked out. .

Severely disappointed

Central location

Didn’t have amenities as advertised and were the ONLY reason we booked this hotel. Booking.com specifically mentions and details the on-site restaurant which has been closed down for some time. The hotel also doesn’t have its own parking, we had to park and pay for the public train station car park and lug all our luggage from the station. When complaining to the Manager we were told these omissions were not their fault as they had informed Booking.com who had failed to update their website. The staff member in question was very belligerent and not prepared to discuss any sort of recourse. After a 6 hour drive and difficulty finding the location due to ambiguous location address we were most unhappy with the situation.

The bed was extremely comfortable.

Not too far from the centre of town.

Check in was poor. The reception area is shared with the hotel next door and there was only one receptionist on duty when we arrived. No USB charging points in room. Limited parking space at the hotel so had to use underground parking at QPark a couple of minutes away.

I’ll come back to stay

When I checked in, the front lady was super nice and professional. I felt very welcome by her. The welcome drink was so freshly and tasty. Up graded room was so nice.

In the evening, the young man was in front, he was rude and totally different service and attitude. His attitude looked like a student to me. If I checked in in the evening, probably the image of this hotel was completely different.
