Exactly what we wanted for our stay.

Fantastic location in the centre of the town, with an easy walk to the cathderal and restaurants. Buffet breakfast was superb and the room was large and comfortable. All the staff were wonderful.

No restaurant for dinner but lots of restaurants in the city centre.

Great staff, breakfast, location… disappointing bedroom!

Really delicious and beautifully laid out with plenty of choice, the croissants and pain au chocolates were very high quality.

My room was a far cry from the photos on booking.com perfectly comfortable and clean but small and ugly with none of the lovely wooden beams and pretty bed heads shown in the photos. Very modern and soulless. A shame because the rest of the hotel is lovely and the staff very nice.

Several items in the room, including beams and especially a chandelier, are difficult to see in the dark and we kept bumping our heads. Also, there is no elevator so luggage had to be carried up.

Cheap lumpy foam pillows made for a terrible nights sleep. 12e for the dog, not mentioned at time of booking. Parking area in terrible state, all broken paving and uneven Dog owners should be on the lowest floor in case they need to go out during the night. I was put up in the roof on the 3rd floor.

Excellent staff. Very professional and helpful. Our room was very pleasant and very clean. It was serviced each day. The location of the hotel is excellent, being across the road from the train station and with easy walking distance to the city centre. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Fist night awful, second night exceptional (in Jehan De Beauce hotel)

On day 2, they upgraded us to a room next door in Jehan De Beauce which was worlds away in terms of facilities, location and cleanliness, from the room they put us in the first night.

On arrival we were given a room on the ground floor which was facing the external courtyard. The bedding was old and grey and the room facilities were very tired. The bathrooom was wheelchair adapted and clean but the room itself was very tired and very much past its best. A very depressing room. After complaining and being fobbed off initially by being told there were no available rooms, I persisted and showed them that on BOOKING.COM there were rooms and they were available. We were eventually upgraded at a cost of 30 euro to the hotel next door, which is part of the same group and is internally joined to the hotel. We could not believe the difference. We would not reccomend the The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Les Poèmes but we would reccomend the Jehan De Beauce which is next door. This hotel is very much different in terms of facilities: lift, overall decor and room size. The difference in cost was minimal and well worth paying.

Great location, perfect for our one night stay.

Comfy beds, great location near the train station and cathedral but surprisingly quiet when in the room. Aircon worked really well, which was great as we were there in a hot spell. We were in a big van with bikes and were accommodated in the carpark just behind the hotel. Well worth the €12 charge. Our dog stayed with us too. Breakfast was fine. Only reason it's not a 10 is because the shower was a bit small and not very powerful but overall it was perfect for our one night stay and would definitely recommend. Chartres is a stunning city. I noticed on previous reviews people said it was hard to find but we used Google maps and had no issues.

Cute and cozy hotel near Chartres center

The location is only a few minutes walk to the cathedral and beautiful Chartres town center. It is clean and welcoming . Bed was very comfortable. There was an abundance of towels , the decor was cute. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very professional. Breakfast was copious and absolutely delicious. Fresh bread, fresh pasties, jam in little glass jars, charcuterie, eggs: the works! Coffee was excellent. We loved Chartres and this place made us feel at home.

Having to walk up a big flight of stairs to our room and also the corridors are small and a bit claustrophobic. Curtains in the room had holes in them . They need to be changed.

Excellent secure parking & central location for visiting Chartres. Special mention should go to Valerie, who kindly helped us the morning of our departure.

Two pillows per person would be more comfortable on a bed with a wooden headboard.

Breakfast was sensational. Sumptuous and delicious. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Did have good aircon.

Everything else. No lift. Exceptional number of steep stairs to first floor. Not suitable for disabled. Very small room. Very tatty furnishings. Inadequate amount of surfaces for personal items. Ended up placing things on the floor. Bathroom miniscule but shower good. No extra pillows in room. Asked for one more but it never arrived (as promised). Finally had to go collect it at 10:30 pm.

Nice hotel overall but has a few issues

Overall a nice hotel; very nice room and great location. Fantastic breakfast compared to most in France: Staff were pleasant and helpful.

On check-in, bedding and pillow cases were soiled but changed upon request. We were on the 3rd floor so so 50 steps each time - no lift.
