Mercure Chartres Centre Cathedrale

The room was a good size, well equipped, separate toilet, walk in shower (but slippery), comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helful, but needed to advise of amazingly long but narrow municipal, car park. Entry was close by, but due to dis orientation I ended up parking underground 8 min walk away Did not have dinner or breakfast but hotel did give a list of recommendations. Hotel is located very conveniently close to city centre

Chartres traffic is bad; bus lanes have halved traffic capacity and traffic light signals are very poorly coordinated innChartres. Central location. Means use of municipal car park which once you know is well organised.

Very comfortable hotel close to city center and cathedral. Did not have breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was really friendly.

Instructions to enter closest parking garage were a bit unclear. We ended up at the wrong end of a huge garage, having to walk a long way with our luggage.

Excellent location in the centre of Chartres . The young man in reception who added heating and a blanket to our cold room was very helpful

Our room was cold, really cold. The staff added a heater and blanket but not what I except from a Mercure. I paid to have a room with a view of the cathedral: it had not that view! The breakfast was ok but again not up to standard. As I put the card in the checkout box the woman at the desk didn’t acknowledge me at all which was shocking! I repeat this is not what I expect from my favourite hotel chain. Used a great deal each year!
