Lovely hotel, close to neighbouring villages and family. Lovely staff. Big room and comfortable common rooms. The only comment to add, is that it was missing a mini fridge. But generally all good

We booked two rooms. One of the rooms had a bed in the attic. You have to climb wooden stairs to get to it which is not safe. The pillows are very bad. We couldn't sleep all night. The sofa is very dirty.

Who doesn’t like sleeping in a beautifully restored castle built in 1117? Our room was large, with all the amenities, the bed was comfortable and the birds singing in the trees were numerous. This beautiful rural setting was a delight even during the heavy rains we experienced.

Avoid Rooms 31 and 32 at the roof peak if you have mobility issues. Narrow winding wooden stairway is dangerous unless you are an Alpine ready climber!

I had a very good stay and the Hotel Kasteel. The hotel is located in a peaceful location but only a few minutes from the main town. The full of character and nice touches such as small items of furniture and art. My room was on the top floor and I had not problem negotiating the small stairs, but it may be worth the hotel checking with future less able guests before allocating an attic room. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with the added benefit of a Nespresso machine. The breakfast was very good.

Visited the hotel in the off-season, and had a lovely time. Staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for advice on places to visit and eat. Location is cozy and peaceful, with some traffic noise outside. Breakfast was good, no chef at the time of visit so dinner was had elsewhere. Only within walking distance from one restaurant, which was luckily great.

Beautiful hotel located in the woods, it has a awesome menu. Robert the manager makes you feel at home and can give you some great ideas where to do the tourist thing, he's a great addition to this property. Jackoline did a outstanding job in housekeeping. The hotel needs some updates. We will come back again in the spring.

I love historic properties, but my attic room was a joke for the price. It was furnished like a cell, with a broken lamp hanging over the bed and a rickety wooden ladder to climb up to the room with. A lukewarm welcome, no response to my e mail before arrival, non-existant service, having to pay the night before despite an expedia reservation guaranteed with a card. The gardens are littered with broken garden furniture and the inside of the lift was filthy.

this is by far the worst hotel (if it may call) experience I ever had in my life. the hotel is in middle of nowhere, they took a lot of time to find me a suitable room while I had reversed online days before, one of the rooms they show me was a store!! the hotel looks like a horror place and no sound proof what so ever, the bathroom is so old and in bad condition. of course there is no any hotel service at all, no concierge, no luggage boys and you have to book earlier if you want breakfast the total experience is a nightmare and a really really don’t recommend this to any one, this is not a hotel, this is a horror movie

This is a gem of a place with outstanding service. My boys absolutely loved the idea that they were staying in a hotel that used to be a castle! This is an oasis in the middle of the fields a short 20 minutes from Maastricht with beautiful views. No doubt that we will definitely stay there again if we are there!

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The hotel has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and the food was delicious. Book ahead if you would like to eat in the Bistro in the hotel as it does get fully booked.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is in a beautiful area in the countryside outside of Maastricht. The grounds are really nice, service was really great and very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because some of the rooms do not have AC and that was not stated anywhere so I ended up in a super hot room and had a hard time sleeping. However, the rooms were nice. Also, bring bug spray as there are mosquitos on the patio during certain times of year. All in all I would stay again I would just make sure I have a room with AC. There are tons of great running and biking paths all over.

Hotel was off the beaten track and virtually empty and although the larger and more elegant rooms were free, the hotel receptionist gave me the smallest double right beside the entrance so I can hear people coming and going through out the night.

So return and checkin early is advisable. Small staff level keep very busy and are focused to please customers.
