Beautiful place and larger than normal rooms , We did not realize that this hotel is literally 100 feet off the main train station and with working air condition, we tried to sleep with the windows open . Our bed shook all night long and not in a good way . Great location and views but no sleep

Beautiful older hotel, renovated to today’s standards. Breakfast staff and front desk were so helpful, kind and willing to answer any questions. We were taking a train to Milan for the day so picked the hotel because of close proximity to station. Literally a 3-5 minute walk. However, we had a lake view room with balcony and the trains, of course, were very noisy at night - thank goodness for double pained windows and an air conditioner.

Perfect hotel, ancient style and lovely decorations. People at the reception are partly nice, partly not smiling Very much appreciated the free ticket for public transportation and the large parking. Two suggestions: better install a fence where the internal road makes the curve at the height of the entrance of the second building ( if a car does not see it, it finishes down a 1 mt wall). Add a sheet connecting the two single mattress . Service is very nice and breakfast rich and served in an adorable veranda

The single bed was too small to an adult. AC was not working, and no tissue we provided! Found insects in bathroom in the morning! When talked to receptionist was answered it was normal in the season!

I selected this hotel for its proximity to the train station as was staying for 1 night with arrival and departure on panoramic trips. Although the hotel is above the train lines, there is no steep climb like in many other locations and it is completely soundproofed with very nice views into the garden area, spacious rooms, a very nice buffet breakfast and open air pool of a good size to do laps even. You could take funicular down to the city centre/lake and back. The staff was nice and both check-in and check-out were quick. I definitely would recommend this hotel and wish I stayed longer.

Exceptional service and attention to detail.. being picky the only downside was we were offered happy hour cocktails by the pool bar waiter but had to walk down to the bar and carry them back back up to the pool on a tray.. it was like I want to take your order but you had to get it yourself.. not a problem but seemed wrongly presented..

Good location, 5 mins walk from train station. Room was spacious and comfortable with air con. Staff were generally helpful although they did not give us good directions to the airport. There were no curtains, only some gauze, so the room was bright in the morning and its not possible to sleep in. There are limited amenities in the room, e.g. no cups/mugs, tea, kettle, conditioner.
