Lovely place to stay, very friendly, reasonably priced. Breakfast was great.

The food ( dinner and breakfast) was beautifully cooked. The homely atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. The staff helpful and the room had everything you need and was clean and tidy. The pub also smile English and I appreciated that it retained that . Nice to have free parking outside the door.

Yes it is old fashioned but that added to the charm, there was even a bath, very welcome after a few days walking!
Very good value, lovely views and instant access on to the moors, very welcoming staff, delicious food, and best of all… superb beer!
All in all a delightful experience of staying at at proper traditional English inn
