Just what we needed.

The hosts/owners were very welcoming as were all the staff. The breakfast was lovely,anything we wanted. We had meals both nights which were also very nice.The dining area was very warm and cosy. The accommodation was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Definitely recommend a stay at the Mary Tavy Inn.

Would have like a slightly bigger room.But still loved the stay.

Excellent communication, very friendly owners/ staff. Lovely room in a separate building with excellent views. Evening meal and breakfasts were delicious. Will definitely return.

A lovely dog friendly pub and restaurant.

A lovely dog friendly pub and restaurant. We stayed in one of the little outside rooms with lovely views across the fields. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings which was very good and the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was buzzy and friendly. Staff are excellent. The breakfast was brilliant and our dog very much enjoyed his sausage!

Home from home - outstanding in every way!

Outstanding in every way…such a genuinely warm and friendly welcome, delicious food, beautiful room with a spectacular morning view. They really have turned this place around. I will definitely stay on my next visit.

Just one thing…my mattress was so incomfortable. I could feel the springs. Managed to rectify it somewhat by sleeping on the duvet. Would be great if this could be rectified.

Perfect dog friendly stay with fantastic food and staff.

Room and food wonderful , the staff are so welcoming and attentive they made our stay perfect .They are really dog friendly and made a real fuss of our dog Minnie, she loved the sausage every morning at breakfast.

Perfect.

Beautiful location and lovely, well equipped room. The owners, the manager and all the staff were friendly, efficient and could not have been more helpful. Super breakfast and excellent choice on the dinner menu. Large portions ! Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely friendly staff, a bar used a lot by locals and the staff when off duty. Food was amazing especially the breakfast omelettes from their own eggs

Super place with stunning views

This was our second stay at The Mary Tavvy. It is a lovely family run business. Very clean, very friendly. The decor is wonderful, the breakfast was delicious. , and the little separate chalet type rooms are so lovely, as is the views from the garden. Cannot fault this place. We will definitely be back again next year..

Very friendly staff, great breakfast and lovely standalone rooms that felt very private. Cute animals including pigs in the garden!

Unfortunately the bed was really hard so didn't get the best nights sleep but this is personal preference and everything else was perfect.

Lovely location

Lovely location with views over the countryside. Cosy pub restaurant. Good choice of beers. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Not far from Tavistock and local walks.

It would have been good to be able to have fresh fruit as a breakfast choice. The restaurant isn’t open on Sunday evening so we had to go to the next village for a meal.

The accommodation was very clean & comfortable, everything was provided, nice selection of tea & coffee. The restaurant was good, staff lovely, breakfast freshly cooked. Situated ideally for us to visit a few National Trust properties & also close to the moors.

Two night stay

The location is excellent! Our bedroom Wheal Betsy was immaculate, although next time, I will book a bigger room to benefit from the extra space. The view from our bedroom was far reaching. We ate in the restaurant and it was delicious food. Highly recommended.

It was an enjoyable stay and the staff were welcoming and attentive.

Breakfast was nicely cooked and well presented. The location was good as a base for travelling to other locations.

The restaurant was not open on Sunday evenings or Monday lunch or evenings which is not good for residents. Also during these times there are no areas to relax in. There are no nearby facilities.

Lovely little pub

Staff were amazing and friendly, breakfast was delicious The animals were an added bonus ( apart from the cockrell)

Pub was incredibly busy on Fri and Sat night which meant a gauntlet run to get to restaurant area, some mold in bathroom but it's an old village pub, biscuits on tea tray were out of date 🤦‍♀️
