Location was easy to find, beautiful countryside and location fantastic for Bude Plenty of parking, be sure of a warm welcome and fantastic food, breakfast wide choices and was equally fantastic as the evening meal menu The rooms have absolutely everything you could wish for clean and comfortable stay Lovely place to stay and have drinks in the bar Will definitely be returning

Disgusting

Clean room garden mess. When we arrived car park all we could smell was was someone smoking weed .we we’re supposed to have a deluxe room it was a standard room 11ft by 11ft with A dog

We were charged 130 pounds 20 of that was for a dog when I told the I was bringing a dog never mentioned charge £20 for one night . No were to walk my dog there was a little wooded area full of of rubbish

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Food was excellent and the bar nice and cosy. Best of all - the staff - so friendly and helpful - Keith in particular couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended and thanks all.

Wonderful warm welcome. Cando attitude by owner and staff. Large room, large bed and enormous television with lots of channels.

Friendly and Comfortable, I will probably book again soon in a couple of weeks.

I had to leave too early for breakfast but they made me up a bag of goodies every day that was really appreciated.

Menu wasn't clear from the bar. But perhaps I was a bit daft and just couldn't see it.

pleasant country pub with rooms -in a very rural area.

hot day-arrived late afternoon and sat outside in sun. Quite a busy road with cars roaring by. Most of the locals drink lager or cider I was told -maybe that would change with a better bitter available! large dining room with one with a big stove-must be lovely in winter .Bedroom up stairs past a strange collection of artifacts, guitars, large car park with lots of EV charging -handy if you need it! various animals to see maybe pet for the children.

well the beer not to my taste but plenty of choice. Nice country oub atmopshere.

Location however the outside of the property is tired, unkept and in need of a spruce up.

The hotel rooms were below standard for £110 a night. Our room was small, bathroom fan was noisy, bathroom cleanliness was poor and breakfast was not great. Charging £20 extra for our 2 well behaved dogs making the booking £130 was not advised at the time of the booking which was unacceptable and we only found out on paying before leaving. Our Evening meal was average with one of our party unable to eat her dinner as the curry was tasteless. Overall not impressed and will not be staying there in the future.

great staff and good stay

room was not a big one but it was enough for 1-2 nights stay, food at dinner and breakfast were good and staff were very kind and friendly all the time

heating via a electrical heating on april 17 :) but ı wasn't the lucky one since that night was around 0 degrees celcius. Actually the room was warm but heating via electrical heater was not the best choice, for winter there were normal heaters that you won'T need an electrical heater

Pleasant

The room was clean, tidy and very inviting with sweet little touches. The lady during breakfast was extremely kind, accommodating and friendly who made sure we had everything we wanted. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Breakfast too was of a good satisfying standard with plenty of options.

Slow check in. No one was present when we arrived although that may of been our fault due to arriving late at the property. The walls in our room might as well of been made out of paper. The sound from downstairs especially from the pool table bellowed around our room. We payed extra to stay in a room with a balcony that happened to be above the front entrance of the pub. It's an extremely busy pub and the noise went on until 1am. The pub is also by an extremely busy road with fast moving traffic.

The listing said that breakfast was included but on the day I was charged £5 extra per person for breakfast. I understand totally why this was necessary with increased costs etc but this information should have been shared via Booking.com as it could have made a difference to my choosing where to stay.
