My son and I stayed in this cosy pub when doing a navigation course with Discover Dartmoor. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room clean and well stocked (I loved the cafetiere coffee!). Breakfast was very good - everything we wanted before a day out on the moors! The bar food was excellent and the beer well kept! Thank you.

The quaint town and position was so perfect for us. We enjoyed the quiet countryside and time to relax and compliments to chef of exceptional food at the Inn.
The only negative was the creaky floorboards.

Good breakfast, loved the bread. Tasty and substantial.
Friendly Inn with excellent food, pies especially. Really like the ambiance in the pub. Room is what you would expect in a very old building and we’ve been before and have returned which speaks for itself. Good choice of refreshments in the room including fresh coffee
Could have a bin in the toilet please?
Be nice to have 2 chairs in the room if possible

Very tasteful décor. Unique, convenient location. Excellent food. Good villlage ambiance, obviouly a popular pub.
Unreliable WiFi which according to the management « was external and couldn’t be fixed » . And no O2 mobile coverage service…I think EE is the local one.
NO BATH! Showers only!
Zéro country side view from the room although situated in one of the most beautiful wild places in the country.

We had a very nice full English breakfast each day and also ate in the bar both evenings. All the food was good plentiful. The staff were very friendly. The Tors is situated right beside the open moorland of Dartmoor National Park and offers a wide choice of walks.

Incredible views, insanely good food and great location. The team at The Tors made our stay so memorable and they had great recommendations for things to do in the area. The Tors Inn is a must stay.

The relaxed atmosphere. The bar is obviously a place where walkers can feel at ease.
No food after 5 o’clock on a Monday, which can be a little inconvenient because he necessitates a drive go somewhere else.

Fabulous old pub full of character, stunning views and very interesting village, lovely atmosphere, with genuine proper locals propping up the bar - quite rightly so - having a good old laugh - a proper pub! The staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, even our dog was given a treat! The evening meals we had were superb too.
Nowt!

Harley and her team were friendly, very professional and always keen to help with any requests. The pub atmosphere was great, the room very comfortable, the food good and the location perfect for our Dartmoor walking weekend - beautiful quiet village on the edge of the moor.
Only a couple of tiny things - a bedside light on both rather than just one side of the bed would have been good, and the basin in the bathroom rather than in the bedroom - but the constraints of the very old and traditional building were clear and I can entirely understand why the basin is where it is.

On arrival made to feel so welcome from the first interaction. Shown to the room and confined a table a had already been reserved for dinner. Dinner was superb. Pub food at its best. Accompanied by an excellent choice of ales in front of well stocked log fire
The hot water tap in the bathroom took ages to run hot water. A small observation

Limited choice of cereals at breakfast , but othewise very good. The 'full English' is a real plateful. All the food was freshly cooked - and huge portions.
The landlord - Dicky, and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
The room itself was basic, but comfy. Bear in mind the rooms are directly above the kitchen, so we did notice cooking smells for short time, but these did soon disappear.

Delightful old-fashioned inn on the edge of the moor with just a few rooms. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. And an absolutely lovely bar manager, Harrie.

Fantastic location, great hosts, friendly relaxed pub vibe and very dog friendly. Good breakfast and great food and drink in the pub.
We asked for a quiet room is possible but were given a room above the kitchen extractor fan, which was very noisy in the morning from 8am and in the evening until 10:30pm. Only one choice of breakfast time offered 9am, a bit late for our liking.

Location excellent and peaceful. Landlord exceptionally attentive and staff helpful and friendly - local people attractive & interesting. Well kept interior - clean and equipped to the standard one expected of a small Inn. Open fire welcoming am. & pm.
Food well cooked and plentiful portions.
We found - for arthritic OAP's - that the stairs were steep but unavoidable - no room for a lift. Again due to size there was no room for a suitcase bench. A towel rail by the basin would be useful and a more silent closing of a heavy door below during catering hours can only assist sleep!
