Great stay. Just what we expected from a pub b&b. Good food and drink and the service was excellent. We did some great walking across the moors and around the reservoir.

Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn.

We stayed just one night at The Burrator Inn but what a lovely stay. We had a tasty dinner before retiring to our large, well furnished, comfortable bedroom. The room was warm and welcoming with a good en suite bathroom. The breakfast menu was excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.

Our stay was good, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and comfy. The bathroom was a little older, could do with a little decoration and the shower head needed replaced but otherwise it was fine. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Breakfast was good too.

lovely Inn super comfy beds. I had a small double with walk in shower. My friends had larger rooms one had a sofa - both had a bath. Good choice of hot drink options in room - fresh milk in a fridge . Fab Sunday roast. lovely views and walk. Will return.

Lovely place, lovely big room and nice staff. But a bathroom with the shower in the middle of the bathroom without any “walls” so there was water everywhere. Door and walls dirty and broken because of this. And wi-fi solution bad. But can recommend restaurant and to stay there.

So, the Burrator is a nice prominent Dartmoor pub grub place with rooms. Good Things: • Parking, plenty of it and lots of space • Newly refurbished outside and in, very well done • Outstanding selection of beers and wines • Good bar service • Food quality good Not so good: • Check-in was disorganized, chaotic, and took too long, especially as we had our dog. • Only two decaf coffee (bags) were available in the room; on enquiry, we were told to use the non-existent! Pod espresso machine, this remained unresolved. • Meals are served with the French fries in a bowl on a plate, a common ruse to make the plate seem complete, not my best thing in the world. • Room TV was not tuned into the hotel Wi-Fi, and I was unable to do it myself for unknown reasons Would I go back? • For a couple’s weekend with the dog, if check-in is smoother, they get a coffee machine in all rooms and fix the TV Wi-Fi, then yes, I would go back. • For a working stopover, yes.

Recent renovated so generally looks good. Huge bed, good linens and towels. Friendly staff. Sadly, plumbing needs a big fix. Room is very noisy with traffic noise, as right on the road - don’t come expecting a quiet Dartmoor pub! Also difficult to comfortably shut out noise as room way too hot due to excessive heat from towel rail in wet room (which was needed to dry the place out!). Worse, it did not feel COVID clean…leftover toothpaste in glass and generally poor standard of cleaning in room and pub loo. Food tasty enough but served lukewarm. This place could be great (if you are not a light sleeper) but needs improvement.

Recently renovated and under new management. We had a problem with our booking and Mike the manager went out of his way to sort it out for us. Rooms were clean and bathrooms modern and clean. Nice big beds. 2 minutes from Dartmoor national park. Would definitely go back.

Lovely little b&b. Great sized room, friendly staff, good selection of drinks and food options, everything we could've hoped for. Staff leant us a map and booked us a table for dinner even though they were busy. Close to the burrator reservoir which is a beautiful walk. Would stay again!

Fantastic staff cant do enough for you we didnt need to leave the pub. Food really good too. Was our second stay at the burrator inn and no doubt we would stay here again. Hope the people that take over for sara and phil when they soon retire does as good a job as they have. Thank you both!!!
