When arriving there was nobody at the desk, it was about 10 minutes before someone showed, after pressing the bell a few times. Room was ok, bit dark. We asked for extra pillows and they were provided. The bed itself was comfortable. After returning from a day in Maastricht we found the room had not been cleaned, dirty towels not replaced, bed not made and coffee and tea not replenished. We arranged with reception the necessary. Next day we did not want to go out for an evening meal so we thought we would eat in the hotel. After waiting for someone to take an order or hand us the menu I asked at reception if the restaurant was open?? I was told a colleague would be along shortly, we gave it an other 10 minutes or so and decided not to bother and went out into the town for a meal. Poor service from all levels of staff during our stay, will not use this hotel again.

Once arrived at hotel I was informed the room had been cancelled although room was paid in full prior to arrival. Leaving our night stay with sleeping in a van as too late to book in anywhere else. Poor service

Bastion Hotels should take care of technical things in the rooms. For instance there was no light available at the bedside in room no 108.

Overall stay at Bastion was acceptable but was let down by lack of attention to detail i.e. numerous requests for extra towels and toilet rolls. Also TV did not work and at the end of our stay had still not been resolved ( hotel notified 3 times). No kettle in room and again 3 requests before it was provided.

The gotel is advetised as Horel Bastipn Central it is definately not ventral it cost 16 euro for a taxi to the station which is in the centre we yried to check in at 15.00hrs we eventuallly got our room key at 5pm ubacceptable . They charged top rates but gave a terrable service.

The staff at this hotel are super nice and welcoming! The rooms were clean and it was just perfect for one night stay. Its also in a great location where everything is walkable and there are buses running all the time. Great place! Would highly recommend for short stays. Room was exactly as pictured as well

Very basic facilities compared to a 4* hotel. Rooms are small, bedside tables even smaller, enough for a water bottle and mobile. Toilets are ok (funny thing is extra toilet paper is kept almost next to the ceiling). Not enough place for wardrobe to hang or keep stuff. Coffee table has no plate, no glasses. Coffee cups are used as holders for coffee capsules, creamer and sugar. Property is old....even needs painting. I must add, the staff is very helpful though. If you are single or couple....this place will do. Not for a family. The best part is, its like 3 min walking away from square and maybe 15 min from station. Bus stop is right outside of the hotel.

This hotel is in need of updating the room which was supposed to be deluxe was very dark gloomy very little lighting decor and furniture in very poor condition. Bathroom was good towels were worn out. Corridors carpets dirty dust behind open fire doors disgusting. Reception desk under manned at busy time such as check out. Having travelled to watch Andre Reiu in Maastricht the Bastion Hotel had increased their usual nightly €69-€120 price to an eye watering €381. I was aware that hotel rooms were extremely hard to come by but I did not expect a dirty room, a bathroom with mould growing on the ceiling accompanied by a strong mould smell. The receptionist did nothing to rectify the situation and was in fact rude and just didn’t care. I am absolutely disgusted that at such a price the hotel was not even clean and the front of house staff’s attitude was just atrocious. The trip was supposed to be a Christmas treat after last years event was cancelled due to Covid, but instead the accommodation just ruined the whole trip. I cannot believe that the Bastion Hotel Is advertised as a 4 star hotel, I would not have even given it one star. It is morally wrong to charge such a price for such atrocious accommodation. The hotel was not fit for purpose & could even be seen as a health hazard for anyone staying long term or with any breathing issues. I am disgusted.

No towels to start with. The room floor needed sweeping. The receptionist was very good on booking in, but she should have had more help. Breakfasts were very good.

Had to wait in a queue for more than an hour to check in. No bath towels in room and plastic glasses split. No complimentary water as web site and no free parking as web site. It was 15 euros per day. 5 star prices for 3 star hotel in my opinion. Breakfast at 15 Euros was adequate but nothing special. Comfortable beds but room was dark and needed refreshed. The only positive thing I would say about the hotel was it’s close Proximity to everything.

Definitely not worth the money. The parking garage was difficult to find and not marked. Check in and check out took a very long time - seemed to be short-staffed. They wanted to charge me twice for the town tax because the woman who checked me in did not mark the charge in the computer. They gave me a hard time about this for €5.60. The pillow on the bed was flat, old, and very lumpy. The walls and carpets were stained and dirty. One of the lifts was broken. Overall, a bad experience and I will not stay again.
