Great value guest house for my 2 night visit to the city

Home from home

The guesthouse felt more like a home from home. Lots of thought gone into little extras in the room. Dogs felt very at home. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely warm room.

Such a lovely cosy nights sleep

Cartref was beautifully decorated throughout with a lovely welcoming and cosy vibe. My room was very comfortable and had some really nice person touches to make the stay extra cosy! This was an ideal location and the host was also very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Delightful, friendly and welcoming.

Quaint. The host was very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance to excellent restaurants, pubs and downtown shopping. The room was full of little extras and details that made being in the room a pleasant adventure of discovery.

I will definitely be visiting this property again it went beyond our expectations and the staff were absolutely exceptional couldn’t do enough for us we have stayed at a lot of accommodations but this one beats them all

I had a really lovely stay at this B&B. The room was spotless and had a cosy, homely feel that made it easy to settle in. The owners were fantastic with their communication and always quick to respond. The location was spot on too, close to attractions, restaurants, and bars just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay

Extremely helpful host, lovely decor.

Be aware that it is next to a main route into Carlisle so I was awoken by traffic both mornings despite earplugs.

Everything was good, Just the fragrance was a little hard. I would request, room frangrance should be very light, not harsh or feel uncomfortable. Rest everything was amazing, Owner was very polite and supportive.

Well decorated and lots of provisions, tea, coffee sachet and ground, biscuits, big tv etc up to a foot spar ?

Room 2 was small and made smaller by next doors bathroom. No parking, only on the side road with a permit.

A comfortable stay for a weary cyclist

Clean comfortable accommodation, and friendly helpful service plus delicious breakfast. I was cycling and storing my bike was no problem. The guest house is convenient for the centre and places to eat and a short cycle (or walk) to the train station. Excellent value.

Cosy, very comfortable and super clean room

Great room, amazing amenities - even provided a bath robe and all the coffee and teas including my favorite “match” - welcome surprise. Hosts were very welcoming and overall enjoyed my short but sweet stay immensely.

Beautiful B&B with beautiful facilities. Melanie was a beautiful host and her extra touches in each room was amazing! She has thought of everything. Great location and central to town centre. Breakfast was amazing, great food and the extra detail was great! We fit our family of 6 in very easily. Highly recommend! Beds very comfy too!!

Great place to stop close to centre of town and Sand Centre. Rooms modern, clean and comfortable. Every amenity available including hair dryer with diffuser, mini fridge and even a foot spa. Owner Melanie very friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant stay

Great for walkers- the owner has obviously paid a lot of attention to the things people need, including foot baths, etc... The breakfast was phenomenal, absolute highlight and well worth it. I do not know how one person copes with that many requests (pancakes were brilliant)
