Ideal location and delivered on everything I needed for my stay

Staff were lovely and checkout was so easy. Breakfast was really nice too.

The free WiFi kept dropping in and out but it was very usable

Near the station and local to my meeting so could walk everywhere staff were very kind and helpful room was warm and clean bed comfortable

Toilet mechanism wasn’t working so had to lift lid to Flush no meals served except breakfast arrived late due to train delays so try and find food outside the hotel

Great central location very close to station, cathedral, castle all walking distance. Good sized car park to rear, costs £12 per day which is reasonable.

On check in, receptionist asked if I would like my room serviced the next day, I said yes, but housekeeping didn’t visit. No major problem but why ask if the request is going to be ignored? Not worth complaining about to them as I was only staying 2 nights.

Those steps at front of the hotel!

Do not stay if you are disabled as to access the Hotel you must climb 6 steps and the buzzers to gain access at night are at the top of these steps. There is no ramp for people with mobility problems.

Enjoyed our first stay, so we stayed again!

The hotel’s location is perfect, next to the station, short walk to the castle, cathedral, shops etc. Hotel clean and comfortable. Staff great and very helpful. The breakfast was a good start to the day and the bar a good way to end the day.Will we be staying again? Yes the hotel is perfect for our needs when we stay in Carlisle visiting our daughter

Not a complaint but our room was really warm..it was great to come into after spending a rainy afternoon shopping...it was quite warm for me personally for sleeping...but better to be too warm than too cold

It was ok. Not sure I would stay again, I would look and be happy to pay for a bit more comfort elsewhere.

Our room (executive) was very dated. The mini fridge was literally a fridge plopped in the middle of the room! Lighting was poor. Bed was solid and not comfortable. Plumbing was a little noisy! Breakfast selection was adequate but all hot food was more Luke warm. The price was good until you factor in the additional cost of parking at £12 per day.

The hotel itself is very good for the price, good for a short stay and would stay again, rooms are quite big and have all the facilities that you need. Shower works well and the water pressure is great.

The property itself is fine but the neighbours were incredible loud all through the night as there’s no sort of noise suppression at all. There was also some form of data breach I assume which I wasn’t aware of until I received messages from scammers with my details, which of course made me worry about the safety of my booking and details and if I would have known before I booked then I wouldn’t have booked at all for my own personal safety.

The room was very tired stained toilet bowl and bath stained the room had a musty stale smell I had to ask at reception for the room to be sprayed with air freshener when we were out I bought a tin of air freshener which I left in the room for the next couple. Really disappointing

Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning soon.

The hotel was the perfect location for exploring the City centre by foot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Due to our stay only being for 2 nights we opted to not have the room done but was very happy with the drinks vouchers as an alternative. This will definitely be our hotel of choice on our next visit.

The rooms were dated but that is to be expected with an old building. Perfectly functionable. This certainly has not put us off returning to stay here.
