Lovely 2BR Apt in Sheffield City Centre

Comfortable, clean and in a very good location. My teen daughter no longer likes sleeping in a family room with a parent. This apartment was good value for money for 2 separate bedrooms and a living area.

The only minor niggle is that the flush on the toilet was weak and multiple flushes were always needed!

Decent place to stay in Sheffield, especially on very short notice. The bed was super comfortable (I slept in the larger room as was travelling alone) and kitchen good for my use (note there is no oven, but a plenty big fridge-freezer, hob, microwave, kettle, etc). It was quite quiet and there was a nice breeze from the 4th floor location plus being over the river. Wifi was great and in general the flat was quite comfortable and well set up, great provision of towels and bedding and lots of kitchenware. Great access to shops, public transit, and central location made getting around really easy, and a nice walk (though steep hills!) from the train station.

The location didn't feel 100% great as a single traveller safety-wise (not fussed by the physical location or surrounding amenities, just by other peoples' behaviour). In addition, the host didn't specify WHICH flat number the room was prior to my arrival, so after collecting the keys I had to phone them while standing awkwardly in the hallway to figure out which room to go to; thankfully they responded quickly. Several of the ceiling vents were covered in caked on dust and I had dust allergy issues while in the flat. Finally, the couch was pressed hard against the wall heater, which was on full blast, which made me worry about fire risk! Plus the couch was a little broken itself, it seems to have been quite abused by previous guests.
