Holywell Grange Farm

Jon and Trish are so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They provide accommodation to such a high standard, especially for families. The room included a table top fridge, a microwave, crockery and cutlery so we were able to make ourselves some simple breakfasts and pack ups for our days out. There is a small en suite shower room with a toilet in the room, again well presented and very clean. The room is so cosy and decorated in a homely style. In the garden there was some play equipment which our daughter loved using, the garden led to the stables and paddocks which housed horses, donkeys and an alpaca which Jon introduced us to and allowed us all to feed treats to and have a fuss with. The farm is also home to the sweetest and friendliest dogs and a cat who we loved being around. The whole stay felt like home from home, very comfortable, friendly, relaxed and with the added bonus of being in such a quiet spot in the countryside but only 10-15 mins drive to the beach or town centres of Tynemouth or Whitley Bay. Being around such lovely animals who are so well looked after was our favourite part and the reason we booked as our daughter loves animals so much, for her it was everything she could have dreamed of. The nearest Metro station is also very close by so we took a trip into Newcastle using this service for a day out. It has been one of our favourite trips and already looking to book for next year.

Coming home!

Comfortable and very pleasant stay. The farm animals are a friendly and delightful experience for kids. The accommodation and facilities are as described already , clean and functional. Jon and trish and their family are very kind hosts. We'll be back if we get the chance.
