Very poor.

Big and roomy

First of all, we were sent a message to say they could not give us Apartment 2, this was very poor as we had booked and paid for the apartment by this time. We were then offered a 1 property with 2 beds. This was not what my friend and I wanted, we booked and paid for a 2 bedroom place. We then got offered another property in Wallsend, miles away from where we needed to be. We were then offered 2 times 1 bedroom apartments, which by this time we’re felt we had to take. As soon as I opened the apartment door, I could smell cigarette smoke, really bad. I called the number provided and asked if they could supply a key for the windows (as 2 of the 3 were locked) and I was told that I should not open the windows (even when I was in the property), now I’m very worried. One of the towels was fusty. The extraction fan in the bathroom was not working and there was only one light bulb in the two bedroom lamps. There was no remote for the tv. My friend and I left after 3 days although we had booked and paid for 4days. We will not be back to this property.

Good apartment that has potential to be a great apartment

I think the apartment is a good size and the price was very reasonable for the area that it is in and the fact that there is so much construction and remodeling going on nearby. I really liked how close it was to the metro and yet the noise level in the apartment was still quiet. The place was generally very clean except some of the dishes were not clean. The water pressure and temperature was great. The neighborhood looks a bit rough, but was actually a nicer place than it looks. We felt reasonably comfortable and safe in staying there. The owner was quick to replace the microwave when it started arcing. They also sent the maid back quickly with the towels that were forgotten to be left there.

I wrote a long explanation to the owners about some issues and I suspect that many of them will get corrected before the next tenant has need of them. Generally the apartment is good, but was not set up like they were serious about attracting a good clientele. There were a lot of things that were done "on the cheap". Cheap items still look good in photos, but they wear out fast.

Property was double booked! Location awful with druggies

Nice flat and spacious

Keys were not in locker box on arrival, found out two men had booked into the flat we had also booked. Upon investigation and looking at the mens booking paperwork the property was double booked! Luckily for me with two young kids the men were very nice and decided to leave as were very disappointed with the situation and the location is very bad. We were unable to get hold of the host to help the situation at the time. The host was not very helpful with the situation and just apologised witb the double booking saying they is a error in thier booking system and to just accept the distress and lost of time it caused. Would not book here again as property gets double booked and you might not get to stay on arrival plus the location is very bad with druggies on the street so would no recommend to single women and families to book here.

Much bigger than we thought it was going to be. Nice and close to Whitley Bay.

Sofa in the lounge was uncomfortable, kitchen was missing a few items for cooking a family meal (pans, cheese grater etc). Walking down the graffiti covered back alley to get the key to the lock box at 8pm wasn’t the most pleasant experience.

My daughter booked this for us and we enjoyed our stay

The apartment was very clean and spacious, with open plan kitchen diner/ lounge, bed was comfy, choice of bath or shower, easy access to the metro and taxi rank at the top of the street with a shopping centre opposite, easy access to asda and home bargains where you can get everything you need. Parking permit provided allowing free parking outside the apartment.

The area is rough with a few characters threatening one another, but we didn't have any problems,

Nice apartment

The apartment was clean and quite. Linen and towels etc provided. Well equipped kitchen etc.

Parking permit was missing. Missed finishing touches,no towel rails,light shades etc. Only bathroom door shut properly,all others didn’t. Need better instructions on how to get to where key lockbox is located.
