Evi started her days as a school bus in 1963 but now she is a one bedroom house bus on a lovely lifestyle block in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Be in the heart of the countryside with 25 acres to roam, sheep, pigs, and ducks to watch, lots of birdlife, and a river to enjoy and take a dip. What a gorgeous spot. We loved the location and spent days exploring kerikeri, paihia, kororareka and surrounds. The highlight was the farm though. The sheep, ducks and cattle are the first thing you see in the morning and Bruno the dog is a delight. We loved meeting Andrea and John. They've built a little slice of paradise. We were warm comfortable and had everything we needed.

Beautiful bed and linen cosy bedroom. Love the colours of the bedding and cushions. Great shower instant hot water great shower head. Everything i needed they had in the bus. Spotlessly clean the whole bus. Quiet and peaceful just what i wanted and needed. Lovely being able to have my dog with me. Bruno popped in every morning. Great friendly hosts. Thanku.

Andrea and John were wonderful hosts, friendly, and kind. We felt very welcome in their corner of Paradise. Evi had both comfort and character, and the setting was beautiful, quiet and private, while being close to all the Bay of Islands has to offer. The kids loved the river and Bruno the friendly sheep dog.Thanks so much!

Absolutely love this place it was super cute Andrea and her husband were so lovely and sweet! My group adored Bruno there dog along with seeing all the other farm animals. Will definitely be back!

The farm is awesome, our 8 year old granddaughter Isla became the “ farm girl” for the week and helping Andrea and John feed the pigs, sheep and ducks was the absolute highlight for her. Andrea and John were so patient with her. The environment is so quiet and the bus is centrally located to Paihia and Kerikeri

We arrived late due to airline delays. The host greeted us on arrival. It was bitterly cold and we were looking forward to a hot shower to warm us up, bbut the shower kept going from too hot to too cold. It was not nice at all We got into bed but still shivered all night. In the morning I informed the host that we couldn't do that any mo,as we are both in our 70s. We were told that we could have asked for a heater to be brought in, but it was already after 10PM when we got into bed. We w

We loved everything about our stay in Evi. It was so quaint and yet fully functional and totally comfortable. It was very convenient to Paihia, Waitangi and Kerikeri, so was an excellent base to do all we wanted and yet felt separate and peaceful away from the busy centres. We had a fabulous stay with our medium size dog accompanying us. A short drive to either Paihia , Kerikeri or other towns made it a great central location. The owners were awesome to communicate with and very helpful. We enjoyed the walk around the farmlet and paddled in the stream. Evie was well set up and a great space for us to live in Highly recommend this great getaway

This quaint little bus is a must stay! The bus was tidy and lovely and felt very private. The owner was really friendly and the communication before we got there was excellent. Super cute and amazingly equipped housebus. Everything we expected and more. Wonderful friendly hosts. Booking and check in - a breeze. Lovely wander through the paddocks to the river. Amazing sunrise and sunset. Easy drive to Paihia and Kerikeri. Recommend a trip for lunch to the Ake Ake vineyard and the Plough and Feather. Highly recommend and would love to return someday. I took my two kids (4 and 6) on an adventure to stay in this cute wee bus, they absolutely adored it! We did a day in Kerikeri and then a day afterwards in Paihia and it was situated perfectly to visit those places. For an old bus I was amazed at how clean and modern it looked and was done up beautifully. The only downfall I would say is the single bed is uncomfortable, definitely better for a child (I tried sleeping on it and ended up sharing the queen with the two kids). Bring gumboots if you want to walk down to the river, the kids and I made it- but with broken jandals after attempting the long grass :)
