Just perfect in every respect!

Fabulously spacious and beautifully renovated apartment , yet retaining original features with stunning views of the city! We have stayed in Bergamo approx 15 times over the past 20 years and feel we know the city really well. This is by far the best place we have stayed , providing a true Italian experience in beautiful surroundings - I could live here! ❤️

Love the space - very spacious and great high ceilings.

The property did have a smoking smell which was overpowering. And they might need to check on the freezer - seems it is all iced up - but we didn’t need freezer space so was all ok.

The wievs alone costed all the money I payed to stay there, prosperous and grand, probably exactly the experience I was waiting for in Italy. The frescoes, the old furniture and floors, big bathrooms and nice kitchen

Spacious and charming in a great location.

The apartment is spacious, has beautiful views from its large windows and high ceilings and the remains of some frescoes in the bedroom and living room . It was clean and inviting with a perfect location close to the funicular. The host had great communication and allowed me to put my luggage in a different storage space for a short time. Would love to visit again.

1. Mattress was very uncomfortable 2. It would be useful to have additional pillows 3. Additional seating eg armchair would make it more comfortable 4. Some reading lights in living room and bedroom would be great 5. It would be nice if more coffee, tea and simple condiments like salt and pepper and even some olive oil would be fantastic

Beautiful apartment in good location but....

Apartment is in a very good location on the outskirts of Cittè Alta. Views over the city are lovely and many original features of the building have been tastefully retained. Property was clean and maintained.

However, I would love to make a number of suggestions to the property manager that would make this accommodation better value for money. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. Two pillows per guest is usual (not one) and the Italian practice of using only a top sheet with an uncovered duvet is considered unsanitary in other countries (we made do and took extra linen and pillows from the sofa bed). Mattress and pillow protectors are also standard but not provided here. If supplying single-use sachets of soaps and shower gels, it would be more generous to provide one of each per guest, especially for a four night stay. The property is under furnished and underdecorated, bits that are included are of a quality not equal to that of the apartment. Small and inexpensive additions such as lamp shades and a couple of cushions for the sofa would improve guest comfort. The only sofa is also not comfortable. Beneath the toilet seat and the shower tile grouting require bleaching/regrouting. For those with children or who stay for more than a couple of nights, the kitchen is somewhat unequipped for self-catering. A toaster and microwave would be good additions. An extra electrical socket would prevent the kettle and coffee machine having to share. There is only one unclipped coffee cup.

Amazing views and beautiful apartment

Very beautiful, spacious apartament in the Cita Alta part of Bergamo. Amazing views from the windows. Close to the bus stop line 1 that takes you directly to the airport. Short walk to the restaurants. Nice and helpful staff. Easy check in with the drop box.

More toiletries like shampoo and gel would be nice. The couch in the living room is super noisy.

Very beautiful and spacious apartment overlooking the town of Bergamo! Located in a convenient spot inside the old city walls, close to the Main Street where all the restaurants etc are but also close to parking lots. I recommend it!

There was no heating but the landlord took care of it immediately. There is no TV and for us who travel with a child i.e. have to get back early, it would have been very helpful!

It was really great apartment. I felt myself in Italian castle flat with modern Fleur. All Bergamo was in full view. I didn't want close even windows because the fairy of night Italian city was amazing. The morning in this flat was fairy, with a cup of coffee looking on whole city.... Mmmm..... I want come back to this flat.... I want feel this night and morning again. It is a wonderful mix of Italian culture, modern culture, Italian nature...like in film. If you want feel a real Italy, this flat is for you. I felt myself in the film "The Great Beauty" of Paollo Sorrentino. And the host was a young Toni Servillo) Timeless landscape. Amazing smell of cypresses and flowers out of windows. Exquisite beauty. Respectful and warm attitude to guests and culture. Fantasy of decadent Italian wealth and beauty. Charmed apartment) I can't stop repeat I want come back again, even in winter, even in Christmas, even in spring, even in summer, even in autumn, even... and get euphoria, pleasure, relaxation again...

Great location, poor communication with the host

The location was perfect, just 200 meters from the Old Town. The apartment was beautifully designed, with a lot of original features. It was very well equipped except for the air-conditioner.

The communication with the host was difficult. We had to make several attempts to call the host before someone opened the door for us. The apartment was not equipped with air-conditioner, although the description of the place specifically stated that there was one. We spent an awful night because it was very hot at this time of the year.
