Beautiful property. Great location if you can manage the hills

Really nice comfortable property with everything you could need. Kitchen was well equipped with a large dining table and the fridge was full of breakfast items. Bedrooms were lovely, with comfy beds, nice linens and great showers. Bathroom upstairs and downstairs was great for our family. Beautiful private garden in the interior courtyard.

It was a bit of a hike to get up to Citte Alta despite the property being in Citte Alta - ok for fitter folk but a stretch for this 68 year old! The internal staircase was very shaky and needs urgent attention.

Excellent host, comfortable apartment, good beds and great kitchen

They helped us a lot when we arrived and let us check in early to leave the luggages. Also, we where able to check out in the evening because they let us know we could stay more. Excellent hosts Angela and Maristella. Very clean and comfortable beds. Kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare breakfast or also other meals (we didn't). The yard is absolutely amazing. We had a great time! Good showers and everything spotless. Great location to explore citta alta - literally few step away

Spacious, super apartment with all you need in Alta Città

The kitchen was fully stocked and loaded with food, equipment, you name it, it’s there! Fridge had eggs, cheese, meats, butter, waters, juice, and milk. Plenty of bread and goodies for breakfast. There are basic spices and of course olive oil and balsamic. It was great to make fresh-squeezed orange juice each morning with the big bowl of oranges provided! Also loved the full size washer and dryer for laundry. The bed as very comfortable and it was so blissfully dark at night I slept like a bambino. The host is very responsive to any and all questions.

Lovely3 night stay at the Porta Dipinta House

Fantastic location, quiet street close to the funicular and moments away from the main street of the citta alta. House was very well equipt with everything we needed and more. The garden was a quiet oasis and a lovely shady spot from the 35 degree heat we had during our stay in August. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful House in a Perfect Location

Perfect location for touring the Città Alta. Mrs. Maristella was a wonderful, cheerful host who welcomed us at the door and showed us everything we needed to know about the house. The house is lovely and well-kept with every amenity, even an interior courtyard with table and chairs, washer/dryer, and plenty of food. Bergamo is hot in June, so we really appreciated the air conditioning. Directions in advance were very clear, and parking in a nearby garage was easy.

Perfect stay in charming Città Alta

We had a wonderful stay and we are very satisfied with everything. The lady who gave us the keys was extremely helpful and kind — she answered all of our (many!) questions with patience and a smile. The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The private garden was absolutely amazing — such a peaceful and beautiful space to relax. The location in the charming Città Alta was perfect, and the connection to public transport was excellent. We will definitely recommend this property to others!

Everything was exceptionally well selected in the apartment and very well organized. We had a car for which we were provided with a permit for the area. They made a reservation for parking, which is close to the property. We were provided with exclusive restaurants by the host where we used a discount. Our refrigerator was stocked with delicacies and champagne, there was tea, coffee and many other things that you should see and feel when you visit the place.

Very clean and full of character. Generous supply of provisions for breakfast. Lovely living space. Netflix a plus-as were two bathrooms!

Staircase leading down to bedrooms may be a bit difficult to manage for older people. For us no problem 😊

Tastefully Appointed Apartment with an Absolute Feeling of Home.

It's simply a wonderful place in the heart of Bergamo Alta. Communications with the host was essential to arrange entry into the upper town by car and to arrange parking. All this was handled beautifully. I was the kind of assistance you would give to family and friends and one loses all sense of being just another "guest". The facilities were superb and the historical nature of the apartment was obvious the moment we entered the building appointed with frescoes. Our host sent a wonderful young woman to help us get in. We were early and left our bags so she could finish her work. What are friends for? People who do not love this place should go home.

Comfortable apartment with character in the heart of Citta Alta, Bergamo.

Excellent quiet location in the Citta Alta, well equipped, comfortable and generously stocked for breakfast. All the little touches necessary to make the stay lovely. Private courtyard to sit out in. Helpful host.

Not a problem for us though the spiral staircase might be difficult for some older guests.

A charming comfortable apartment in Citta Alta

The apartment is delightful, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room looking out over the courtyard garden. The hosts are friendly and helpful, they met us promptly on arrival and provided fruit, cold meat, cheese and pastries. It was a wonderful welcome. The location is very central, close to all the sights in Citta Alta and only a 1 minute walk to the bus stop with service to the lower town, train station etc.

Nothing really. The apartment stairs are steep, which could pose a challenge for some, but Bergamo is hilly so climbing is inevitable here in any case.

Beautiful quite hideaway with fabulous outdoor space in the centre of the historic old town

Barbara met us and was very informative and friendly when we arrived. She also arranged a transfer from the airport for us Great location in the centre of the Citta Alta but also quiet and a beautiful garden oasis in the centre to relax and keep cool in the heat of the day. Loads of great restaurants and bars near by

Magical stay in Bergamo

Charming decorations and fantastic location! We loved our stay here. It’s enough space for a famiky for four. Plenty of room for everyone! Comfortable beds and a cute courtyard. We loved the location because it was quiet and a quick 5-min walk into the citta Alta center (uphill!). Plenty of food for breakfast. Parking was easy in the garage nearby. Angela was super helpful. She also recommended good restaurants. We liked Da Mimmo the best!

Perfect location for enjoying old Bergamo. Own generously sized and shady patio with very well-kept flowerbeds. Close to a large green - ideal if you bring your dog with you. Everything one needs in a very tidy, neat and compact package.

The tight staircase between sleeping and living floors will not work for everyone.

Wonderful.

Perfect stay, owner extremely effective, helpful and easy to reach. Breakfast consists of lots of food in the fridge to use at your leasure: eggs, bacon, cold cuts, yoghurts, juice, fruit and more. More than we could eat :) Also bread, pastries, coffee, tea and generally a super well equipped kitchen with all staples that you could wish for. Lovely garden. Effective aircon and wifi.

Perfect apartment, beautiful city, fabulous visit! Highly recommend visiting Bergamo!

From the outside Angela's apartment is a fabulous old style Italian building and inside is very modern with all mod cons provided. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The apartment is located on the edge of the old town which is well worth visiting. We had amazing food and wine. Everyone was very hospitable and COVID-19 passes are mandatory in bars & restaurants which gave a feeling of security.
