Perfectly fine...

Everything you needed in the kitchen. Roomy bathroom. Lots of pillows. Dog friendly.

Quite a walk from the centre of town which is fine in daylight but not so great when you need to go out for dinner. Wifi dropped in and out. Kitchen cloths needed to be replaced. I think four people sharing this space would be pushing it.

Everything about the place. It was neat, cosy, clean, and homely. Home away from home. Ben and his wife made it so easy for us to get into the flat. Thank you for the gift you left us. We are grateful and will visit again

Fantastic Flat in Sheffield

The flat was very clean, cosy and in a great location. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated and the flat had everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa and the flat was lovely and warm. I would highly recommend it and hope to return in the future.

The apartment was very clean and confortable. Everything was prepared with attention to the smallest detail. Ben and Trisha have been very kind to us and accomodating. We really felt like home and we will definitely return.

Cosy apartment with exposed beams make for a lovely stay.

The building was stunning with a separate bedroom to the kitchen and dining area. A very nice shower with good pressure. The place is 20 seconds from the tram and is easily accessible. Tea and Coffee left out which was lovely

There was a little bit of noise from the courtyard which cannot be controlled but meant I stayed in the sitting room on the fold out bed!

Excellent location in a trendy and happening part of Sheffield with bags of character.

Brilliant location if you enjoy pubs and coffee bars. Interesting architecture and only a 20 minute walk into the city centre which can be made along the river. Try the Turkish breakfast as a change from full English at The Grind Cafe. Fairly expensive but a lovely place. We enjoyed sitting in the window of The Three Tuns pub just down from Paradise Square. Also the Shakespeare was great for character and real ales.

For me there are no complaints about the accommodation. I think it could be a bit tight for 4 adults if I'm being picky. Just take a good look at all the photos and decide for yourself.

Overall good, but the flat could do with a little more care and maintenance.

Location excellent in Kelham Island, plenty of nearby bars, cafes and pubs, plus very near to city centre. Lovely comfortable flat for two people.

We needed to hoover the living room as there was debris and bits on the floor, I think the cleaner may have been a little rushed, as there were wet towels left in the washing machine, which I rewashed and tumble dried. The instructions to get in confused me as the door to the flat is to the right, not left, and I nearly broke into the neighbouring flat. It would have been good to have been pre-warned about the works going on in the parking area, this made parking space rather tight. A neighbour asked me where I was staying and why I was parking there, perfectly politely, and in a way that's a good thing as neighbours are vigilant. We had a friend stay on the sofa bed for one night, but on unpacking it, found the slats to be broken. We used a mattress on the floor instead. We notified the owners. That was OK for one night, but would not be for any longer, or for a couple.

Cute little flat in a cool bit of Sheffield.

Sweet little apartment in a cool conversion. Bright and airy considering the size. Lovely bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We stayed during the snow and the heating system kept everything nice and warm even with bare brick walls. TV with all the streaming services and good Wi-Fi. There are 2 Tesco stores within 5-7 mins walk of the apartment and really nice pubs and food places on the next 2 blocks. I recommend The Fat Cat, proper affordable pub grub. You can get the tram from across the main road about 4 mins walk so it was an ideal location for getting to the O2 Academy.

We were lucky to get a parking "space" (found a gap that wasn't blocking anyone and left it there!) as there's still building work on the building so scaffolding and sacks taking up a bit of space in the yard. Also as it's an old building with original single glazed windows you can hear EVERYTHING outside in the night which includes bins being rolled around. The bedroom is "cosy" shall we say, the left side of the bed is pretty much on the wall so make sure whoever is more likely to get up in the night is on the outside!

An apartment in a great location, but could do with some simple improvements

This property is in an excellent location, close to some good restaurants and pubs in the old steelmaking area of Sheffield. The apartment is in a converted manufacturing building and has some nice original old beams and a metal pole. The sofa is comfortable and there is a nice colour scheme. It was very cold the weekend that we were staying, but the owners had provided us with two oil-filled radiators which were definitely needed to boost the heating in the main living room and bedroom.

Parking was quite tight, and as there seems to be ongoing work within the block, there were workmen's vans filling up some of the spaces when we arrived. We had great difficulty finding the entrance to the apartment, as it was behind a very temporary-looking plywood 'door' without a handle. There was a dryer situated just outside the apartment which seemed to be used by the people in the apartment next door. This is not supposed to be used after 9pm, but it was on one night and as it is just on the other side of a partition wall, could be heard quite loudly in the bedroom. I wondered about the safety of having something which is a fire risk against a plasterboard wall and next to the only exit from the apartment. The apartment itself could have been really good, but there was a lack of attention to detail which let it down. There were no bedside table lamps and only one bedside table in the bedroom, which made it very dark and gloomy, even with the main overhead light on. The fridge was dirty with a frozen-up icebox and a door which should have opened the other way. The kitchen area had a great extractor over the hob and a dishwasher, but there were no instructions for the dishwasher and it took me a while to figure it out. There were not enough pots and pans and storage was a bit haphazard, with no proper cupboard under the sink and there was a gap in the kitchen flooring. Some of the towels in the bathroom had seen better days and there was no toilet roll holder. There was no coffee table in the lounge. Most of these issues could have been put right with a little bit of time and effort and no great expense, but would greatly improve the visitor experience.

The owner was on hand to help put with any confusion and when we got inside there was lots of equipment for cooking etc

It was hard to find the entrance and none of the local office workers knew where it was either. There was a lot of building work in the courtyard from 7am which woke us up both days. We also had difficulty parking as every spot had been taken when we arrived.

Absolutely lovely flat. Couldn't have asked for more.

Gorgeous flat, lots of room. Easy walking distance of Kelham Island, canal, river, and city centre, and lots of cool restaurants and bars practically next door. I couldn't have loved the flat more, I only wished I had been able to stay longer.

I tried to reply to the host's email, but the message bounced. There was some work going on, so there was only one lockbox and the outer door was out of commission which sent me up and down the stairs, but I figured it out.
