Excellent Accommodation

The apartment is in a great location. No more than a 2-minute walk from the nearest Supertram stop (Shalesmoor for Kelham Island). Less than 5-minutes walk to the Tesco Superstore. Perfect for visiting the Kelham Island Industrial Museum. I was sent the property door entry codes the day before my check-in date. Accessing the apartment block and the apartment itself was straightforward. The Bathroom included a bath as well as an impressive shower arrangement with lashings of hot water. The bathroom is well lit, the heated towel rail keeps the room warm, and there's also a shaver point. The kitchen is well equipped with everything two people need to prepare and serve a cooked meal. All the kitchen appliances were in good working order and straightforward to use. The kitchen is also very well lit. Good lighting in the living area with a comfortable sofa and a large TV. Comfortable bed and lovely clean and fresh bed linens. Ample hanging/drawer/storage space for two peoples' belongings. Another well-lit room with additional bed-side lighting. Bedroom and living-area windows have blackout blinds. The entire apartment is surprisingly spacious and I found it to be spotlessly clean. The heating in the living-area and the bedroom was very effective in the cold month of January. Very good internet connection. The apartment block was very quiet. I heard no street-noise nor any disturbance from other residents in the block. I felt that myself (a female lone traveller) and my belongings were safe and secure. Should I visit Sheffield again I will definitely consider returning to this property.

Nice apartment, but a few issues to rectify

Fantastic location, well equipped and stylish apartment.

Bed - Needs a new mattresses, very uncomfortable as the springs have gone. Shower - only enough hot water for one person then it ran cold.

Good location, not the most comfortable

The communication was good, the location was close to the city centre and the venue we were attending as well as local amenities.

The bed was quite uncomfortable, the sofa was also not very comfortable.

A small apartment for a short stay

How much space do I need to live comfortably? At least now I know I need more space than was available in the Birtin Works apartment in Sheffield. I wouldn't go so far as to call it claustrophobic, but it's not cozy either. After we received an extra set of pots and pans, the kitchen was well utilized for our basic requirement of cooking our own food; this is one of the reasons we prefer to book apartments instead of hotelrooms. The apartment is located outside city center in a very pleasant and quiet neighbourhood. A Tesco superstore is nearby and we had no problems reaching both it and the city center on foot.

Unfortunately, the bed was another box spring matress. The floor in the whole place was very unsympathetic. Although it has not a lot of impact on the standard of living, the plinths were in very poor shape.

OK but stop being tight

Mattress on the bed is awful, completely sunken in on one side and paper thin. Needs to be replaced. All the mattresses at staycay properties are bad. Kitchen under equipped. E.g only one drinking glass, barely any cutlery, not enough pans to cook with. Also the grill tray for the oven is missing, so nothing to put your food on to grill, there isn't even any kind of baking tray either so the oven/grill is unusable. It's a shame as these problems won't even be expensive or difficult to fix. The hosts are just being lazy and cheap.

Oven was not clean when we checked in . The Window at The living room cant he closed properly. The bed was made but when you flipped The duvet it was full of dirt kind of sands and fluff. We we rent in The room much coz we were visiting family. We just had The place to sleep basically.

Not been clean properly. Finding parking was appaling.

Very comfortable accommodation.

Nice layout, plenty of space, everything we needed. Support staff member was fantastic in helping with an admin issue caused by me having an overseas phone and not receiving all the comms I should have - issue was on my side, not theirs but the staff member was very patient and helpful.

Only thing I didn’t like was the cupboard in front of the cooking canopy opened too low to give head clearance when cooking. Everything else was great.

Convenient location, everything I could need and really clean. Communication from the staff was excellent when I wasn’t able to get in initially. The lady I spoke to on the phone stayed on with me to make sure I was in properly.

Only downside for me was there being a dead rat near the bins, but I am really scared of them.

The worst place I have tried. The bed cover was dirty, and there were stains. I told the room service about that, but they didn't change it. The sofa was smiley and the rug was dirty also. The sink in the bathroom wasn't working. I felt disgusting there.

The outside of the property has rats which bit my parter as she was putting rubbish in the bin There were green marks on the floor and the host tried to bill us for this even though it was there upon arrival but we didn’t mind at least until they tried charging us for it and to say we smoked in the property which did not happen too this place will do there very best to take your money STAY WELL AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY

Great

The staff were brilliant, i had a bit of a meltdown trying to get in a Manager came over and she got in straight away I didn't pushed the handle down hard enough. They were so good about it. the place is ideally situated for the tram. This is our 3rd time of staying and it hasn't disappointed we will be back and definitely recommend the place.

Very nice self-catering accommodation

The flat was very tidy and clean. Moreover, They provided the flat with hot chocolate ,tea, coffee, and milk. The checking in was very convenient because it was all automated using codes. All linings and toiletry was provided.

The flat was a bit cold when we arrived. But we turned on the heating and it was OK in about 5 minutes.

Would recommend for a relaxed stay

We loved the one-bedroom apartment - it had everything required for our 6-day stay. We were able to cook our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Close to the tram, making it easy to explore nearby areas. The city centre is close enough to walk towards as well.

Had a small issue with hot water in the shower, but their customer care was responsive and helped tackle the issue.

Disappointing

Arrived at the property and as soon as we got in we was hit with a awful smell! looked into the bin and it was full of rubbish that wasn't cleared of before we got there. In the bathroom there was a used dirty towel on the floor and the bed was not made at all and looked like someone already slept in it. All in all the apartment looked like someone was already living init! I message the team and they replied saying the cleaner would be over the next day which they did but it just wasn't good enough.
