Very good location and equally good amenities, good value

The property is in a very good location within easy reach of the High Street. You have the shared use of two reception room, both are lovely and a very nice garden to relax in the evening. We shared the bathroom with two others and it worked fine as there is a separate toilet downstairs. Huge kitchen with every imaginable utensil you could think of. Breakfast - I would recommend the home made granola any day!

Rie's place was an absolute joy to stay in, and felt like home from home.

I loved the healthy, help yourself breakfast, my warm welcome, lovely bright room, super handy location, and the abundance of well water to drink. It felt like home from home.

No-frills self catering Airbnb.

The room was clean and the location was great.

From the reviews I read I was expecting a very warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Sadly this was not the case. I was under the impression this was a luxury B&B but it was more of a self catering Airbnb. My son was hoping for a cooked English breakfast, but there was simply bread and cereal left out for us to help ourselves. I never met the host 'Rie'. The room was cold and draughty and after contacting her via 'booking' was told to turn on the heating myself, which I attempted to do (both nights) but was unable to make it work.

Great location, lovely house but ...

Excellent location. Lovely house.

This was an air bnb, which, as we'd booked through Booking.com, we didn't realise, so not really a bed and breakfast. We had to let ourselves in and find our way around, which was OK but not what we were expecting. There was also a list of what we were expected to do; load the dishwasher, etc. Again, it's not a problem if we had booked self-catering. We didn't see Rie until we were leaving, so I couldn't comment on her hosting skills. Breakfast was helping ourselves to a selection of cereals with already open cartons of yoghurt, a small bowl of blueberries, and milk, which did include oat milk. There was real coffee, but not enough if you didn't like instant. There was a large array of teas. The bread was several days out of date, and the tubs of butter and spread were open, used, and full of crumbs. Working in the food industry has, to be fair, made me conscious of hygiene, and I'm aware that often people use their fingers or spoons they've licked. There was a good selection of nut butters and spreads, but sadly, some jars were empty or nearly empty, hard and dry. We shared this breakfast with another couple, so there wasn't much left. On the second morning, nothing had been replenished, and 2 more people had arrived! There definitely wasn't enough to go around. We had to buy our own coffee, fruit, and bread. I think perhaps don't include breakfast as part of the deal because what was on offer didn't really cut it, especially as we paid for it. I'm happy to supply my breakfast if I'm expecting too.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy and lovely property in Glastonbury. The location is perfect, just a short 10-minute walk from the charming downtown area, making it easy to explore local shops, cafés, and historic sites. The atmosphere of the property is warm and inviting, with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. It’s a peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Glastonbury!

Fantastic accommodation, easy walk into town. Clean , tidy, comfortable. Gold room in en suite .. would definitely stay again. Lovely house all the facilities and a fab host. Plus parking on site.

Comfy, and welcoming. Rie very helpful, though not always on site. The breakfast was serve yourself, cereals and toast/spreads, GF option, egg option. Plenty of herb teas and alternative milks. Kitchen (very well equipped) also available for self catering at other times of day, which was a big help when we couldn't get an evening meal in any pub because of the busy Goddess festival! Parking available, and bus stop right by house.

The TV stations were tuned to Welsh TV so couldn't get local weather forecast.

The house was beautifully decorated, clean and bright and the room was comfortable. Rie was super friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent.

An Oasis close to Glastonbury town

I loved the welcoming feel of the house, it was clean and bright with a gorgeous breakfast room overlooking the garden which we had access to with seating. I like the help yourself breakfast idea and to drinks throughout the day, and the white spring water. It was just delightful. Rie's granola is delicious. It's easy walking distaste from the town, the chalice well and the Tor too.

Easy to book online & find . Good parking space. The Retreat is welcoming ,Bright & spacious & beautifully decorated .The facilities are just right with a kitchen & dinning room. Lovely patio & spacious pretty garden which also has a cabin . My Emerald Room' was bright & comfortable & clean & the bathroom nicely made & easy to access . The breakfast available is with hand made Granola made by Ries ! Very delicious & plenty to choose from for vegetarian & vegan . The House keeper is helpful & friendly. The house is very central and also available as a whole house booking ! Thank you for a lovely stay .
