I was a comfortable place to relax after a busy time out. Warm and clean. Pleasant people and environment. I liked the White Well water, available as drinking water as a nice extra.
Breakfast was minor, no real coffee and the downstairs shower ran hot and cold.

This was a beautiful sacred space. It was cosy with incredible views of the Tor from the bedroom window and from the dining room. All of my favourite locations were all in walking distance - The Tor, white springs & chalice well gardens. Town centre was close enough to walk too. The host was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, and the meditation room a real highlight. This home felt so sacred and the energy there was so powerful. Absolutely Magical

Warm inviting property
Homely, really does become your hone for the duration of your stay
Current host is excellent.
Bed was a tad to soft for my liking, but did not adversely affect my stay .... more of a personal perferance than a criticism

I loved the location the most as I could walk to the Somerset Countryside Museum for coffee and breakfast. The house manager David was wonderful and he suggested excellent attractions, all of which I visited and hadn't heard of before, which I really enjoyed. The house was easy to find and I could walk to the top of bottom of Glastonbury High Street and Chalice Well and White Springs (Luckily I was there on a Tuesday when they were open) and the bottom of the walk to the Tor, which I could see from bedroom window and breakfast table. There was a lovely spiritual vibe.
I am very happy Booking have moved this question to after What did I like. There was nothing except possible receiving pictures of where to find the key safe and where to put keys at checkout.

Very clean, calm, quiet and relaxing. Walking distance to the Abbey, Tor and High Street. Manager was very helpful and kind. The path through the neighborhood is a very peaceful walk and pretty and takes you up to the Rural Life museum, so close by. Self catered breakfast was perfect for what I needed. Shared bathrooms but that was never an issue. Felt very safe.

Host was welcoming and friendly, available, but not intrusive.
Everywhere was very clean, everything was comfortable, bedroom and throughout.
Kitchen had everything needed, breakfast food good, including fresh fruit and white well water lovely, dining area furniture.
Lovely quiet meditation room to sit in
Bedroom comfortable and restful, with lovely views of The Tor.
Bathroom facilities v good, walk in shower was very good on ground level, also toiletries available to use.
Pleasant, peaceful and homely place to stay.
Choice of milk was poor (semi skimmed and skimmed not available).
The choice of bread was only brown (no white or gluten-free available).
Providing a selection of pastries would have been a nice option.
Tea - there was no option of decaffeinated.

David, it's really kind.
The place was perfect, and a girl travelling alone, i felt very safe and welcomed.

If night falls, there's a very dark section of the trail. Avalon is very quiet, but I was alone. Otherwise, David, the manager, is really kind and walked me down the path to Thor's Tower. I recommend it.
The dark but is my experience

General ambience and meeting other guests
Would have appreciated a desk and chair in my room - it was a little cramped

Camelot retreat is an absolutely beautiful lil get away with beautiful energy. It has a gorgeous meditation area, breakfast included, the bed was comfy and David is a wonderful and helpful human. I love that they have White spring water that you can drink during the duration of your stay and it's a short walk to the Tor and springs and not too far into town either. I loved that I could see the Tor from my bedroom and that it was quiet and peaceful 💗 🕊️
The only thing I can really say is the shower didn't stay hot each time I used it. It varied in temperature

I had a wonderful stay at the Camelot Retreat. It's situated in a peaceful residential area that's quiet and comfortable, yet within easy walking distance to the town center or the Tor and Chalice Well. Also, it is very close to the Somerset Rural Life Museum. The hosts and the other guests were lovely! I would love to come back one day.

Meditation room was nice
The rooms need updating and decorating. The bed linen was creased and faded. We were aware of the quiet times, however we didn’t realise we had to be silent. Rooms are close together with no soundproofing so you can hear next doors convo. Doors need a slow shut on them as they bang closed. Although close together amenities, it was in a housing estate. Bread was out of date. Tiny mirrors everywhere apart from over the bath. Free toiletries consisted of left over soap and toothpaste and an empty bottle of something foreign. Towels were old and faded. No tv in rooms.

I soon realized I was at a guest house where I could make my own breakfast (all essentials provided) and even cook dinner if I wanted to - which was well worth it because in G. all pubs close early. The view of the Tor is through the dining room window (and one bedroom), the garden is small but a welcome place to breathe and feel the grass under your feet. I was lucky to have the most delightful host welcome me during her summer job.
The 20min walking distance from the center of town felt tiresome on a hot day. I was glad I had booked the Master Bedroom in this former family home, otherwise the space would have felt even tighter than it already was. It was a bit tricky to navigate creaking floorboards and people's sounds due to phone calls or snoring beyond the walls. Most guests were very considerate. Other than that, the four bedrooms have names referring to spiritual paths, the living room was an exhibit of the owner's formative gurus, the sofa cushions worn and the crystals in dear need of cleansing. I couldn't feel the energy. What a pity.

It’s location meant that to walk into Glastonbury or up to the Tor it was easy. The room was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff were helpful and there was a garden to sit in and hang clothes for drying.

Friendly and a home from home. Will be back to stay here again.
Maybe larger towels but nothing else.

Nothing.
The walls are paper thin and any sound was loud. The house needs freshening up and maintenance work needed. The 4 minute walk they advertise to the Tor is at least 40 mins. Not happy.

We had a lovely stay at the Camelot Retreat – Egyptian Room with a unique touch. Izzie was a warm host, always happy to help with a smile. She kindly accommodated our early check-in and late checkout, and even held our luggage so we could explore the town stress-free. There was a good breakfast spread, with multiple plant-based options to choose from.
The dining area was a lovely space to connect with other guests, and there was a beautiful and peaceful crystal room and a handy little library. Izzie was a total superhost, offering local maps, curated suggestions for attractions, coffee spots, dining, and even cab contacts, which came handy. .
We’d absolutely stay again when we return to the enchanting town of fairy and Avalon!
It would have been nice to have a separate ensuite bathroom, but we only had to share it with another guest, and it was clean and well kept. There was a slight problem with the hot water flow consistency, but it was fine the next day, and there were clear instructions on operating. Well thought through.

We had an amazing view of the Tor from our room and the beds were so comfortable! Jaya Shree was a wonderful host, she messaged us in advance to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay and was on hand throughout if we had any questions. The breakfast selection was great and the meditation room was a really lovely experience to come back to at the end of the day, especially with the different tools / guides to help you. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere and was in the perfect location! The Tor, White Spring, Chalice Well and high street were all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this place to others. I travelled with a family member but it was also a great place for solo travellers.

This accommodation was near Glastonbury
I felt the exterior was dirty. There were spider webs and the building itself looked old.

No acces to garden but didn't matter too much

I liked the location and only 10 minutes away to town or the Tor
Too noisy for me. Quite a creaky house and the rooms are quite close knit together and could hear slamming doors .....if someone is up at 7am...your up. And I wore earplugs. Went to the pub in evening as the noise was getting on my nerves

The room was fairly comfortable and in a quiet area. The property was within walking distance to the town and amenities.
The accommodation in general was clean but basic in some repects. The three rooms all shared a bathroom which was in almost constant use by one couple while I was there. Breakfast is adequate which you had to prepare yourself as you would do in a hostel with staples such as bread, milk, butter, eggs etc in a small kitchen. I booked the room as there was no alternative but probably not return if I had a choice.

Comfortable beds, friendly host, nice breakfast room
Difficult to locate, identity of property not obvious, meditation room not in a quiet place, no apparent access to garden but looked nothing like the pictures. Breakfast somewhat misleading in on line description. No fire escape instructions.
One of the curtains was hanging off the rail. Small hole in the floor at end of bed and the bed bases are so creaky they need replacing.
Tea bags in room were left in a tea bag box without a lid, no milk or sugar in the room as such
Fluffy mat around base of toilet - not hygienic . Similarly bath slip mat as this was a shared bathroom, shower screen could have been cleaner.

staff Sam and Jia was brilliant, very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
sharing the bathroom as I need the loo a lot during night was worried I was disturbing others.
decor and quilt covers etc bit dated and could do with updating.

The whole house is let and you get a separate room in it with a shared bathroom. There is another shower downstairs. There is a beautiful meditation room with lots of amazing crystals there which you can use. There was a nice little dining room and you help yourself to breakfast. The host was very nice and left a note for me on the door and I let myself in as she was giving someone a massage. She also does other treatments I think. It's only a 15 minutes walk from the Tor, which you can see from nearby, so I got up early and went up there for sunrise. It's a quiet modern close. Walk into town - I didn't discover the footpath to town if there was one and it is easier to go by car. Probably 15-20 mins walk if you go around the edge of the town which I did. My bedroom looked over the medium sized garden and trees beyond which has no end of gnomes and fairies in it! I like the fact it is a "spiritual house' and no shoes are allowed inside and it's veggie only. The other guests were two fairies, going to the Fairies ball, and a psychic, which seemed fitting in Glasto!
The furniture was a little sparse not much in the way of tea making facilities in the room. Having said that there was a kitchen downstairs which had a good supply of tea etc. The actual owner was away in Europe and there is a lady who hosts and lives downstairs in an annex it seems.

The spiritual room is amazing and filled with plenty of crystals to meditate with.
Great that breakfast is provided
Needing to be very quiet in the house and tiptoe around at 6am when waking for an early start
