Esoteric whimsy welcomes you to Glastonbury.

The decor and vibe of the house were incredible. Covenstead will remain one of my favorite travel experiences ever. It is next to The Goddess House, across the street from Glastonbury Abbey and a few blocks from the Mary Magdalene Chapel. If you are a student of the Occult or the divine feminine, you will absolutely love this place- the collection featured is just astounding. The breakfast was delicious and it was so fun to eat and talk with the other guests, who were also fascinating.

The welcoming atmosphere and unique decor made it very lovely. The staff were so friendly and so happy to please. Such nice touches including gold coins scattered around the place for Xmas!!

A phenomenal experience, you’ve made a regular of us!

The property was characteristic and quirky. It was beautifully presented, warm, and inviting. It is one of the best properties that I have stayed at in this country, and I will definitely be returning it to a later date. The staff were outstanding, and genuinely made you feel at home, breakfast was, indeed, a grand experience!

There was nothing. The Sun could have shone so we could’ve sat out in the courtyard, but I guess we can’t have everything 😉

The first of many!

Freya met us on the first day and was so friendly and welcoming! We were shown around and then taken to our room, talk about character- this place is fascinating. It was our first wedding anniversary, and we had an amazing time The food was excellent, the company was wonderful and I would definitely stay again.

Stay in a former white witches house! Richly decorated and great service by the host. Great breakfast too! Definitely good place to feel the force! (Although not scientifically proven…)

Magical

The whole house was quirky and so we'll decorated. It was very very charming. The bedroom was cosy. The bedding was wonderful. I slept so well! The bathroom was very nice with good running water. There was a small kitchen and small reading room on the top of the house, which made the stay even more cosy. The breakfast was wonderful. The place was ideally located, easy access to shops, resrayrants, sites and taxis

Amazing, Magical, Mythical and Mysterious

Where do you start? This place is amazing. From the moment you pull up outside the building you will be amazed. This stunning listed building has outdoor space for you to sit and chill either at the front or around the back. The back garden area has lots of very comfortable seating and has a very calming and relaxed vibe. Then you meet the hosts, who are so nice and welcoming, you feel at home straight away. The evening staff member Emma told us all about the history of the building and its owners, and gave us a tour of the whole building. The first room you come to is the dining room, one of the most spectacular rooms I've ever been in. The long table with grand chairs and all the quirky decorations around it is a sight to be seen. Throughout the house, there are ornaments, pictures, books, statues and many more witchy, mythical and magical things. The bedrooms are beautifully done with comfortable beds, large bathroom with shower and bath. There was a fan in the room and a TV. There was a seating area like a living room with a TV and books where you could chill. The kitchen area was full kitted out with kettle, microwave, fridge and iron. I've never felt so comfortable in a B&B before as I have here and I really hope we get the opportunity to stay here again. Thank you so much for our stay.

A pagan dream stay!

Absolutely amazing property, loved the Witches story & all her possessions still there, beautiful decor in my room including gilt bed & a nice big bath. I opted for a continental breakfast but was offered a full English at the huge gothic table! Location right in the centre of Glastonbury was perfect!

Such a unique and beautiful property!! Full of character as well as comfort. I loved the various lounges and shared spaces, and the breakfast was absolutely perfect! Sharing breakfast with other guests was so different to the norm and we loved it. We were even allowed to check-in earlier which really helped us ease into our trip.

Beautiful enchanting stay

From the minute I stepped through the door I was enchanted. This is like no other b&b I have ever stayed in. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. It’s rare that you want to spend so much time in the place you stay but this is it. It’s so comfortable and so much to see in the house. It has a very welcoming vibe. The breakfast was amazing. I absolutely loved it

I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Located right in the middle of town. The place itself is very interesting in the history there. It was a Nunnery at one time. It’s right next to I believe St. Mary’s church. Then a witch bought it and owned it for seven years and decorated it in a very eclectic style which is quite interesting. Emma the manager cook breakfast every morning and it was fantastic. They were super accommodating, allowing me to get in early on the day that I arrived. It was just a great day and I would recommend it to anyone.

What is not to LOVE about The Covenstead - it’s full of character, charm and eclectic beauty! Tony and his team always go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. The breakfast is always sumptuous, plenty of delicious options (you won’t go hungry). Pristine bedroom and bathroom, with tea and coffee making facilities. The shared spaces are gorgeous, I especially enjoyed accessing the garden area in the evening. Thank you again for a magnificent stay, I can’t wait to see you all again soon.

This is such a unique and special property! The amazing decor is detailed and interesting. Tony was so kind, communicative, and genuinely welcoming upon my arrival. I absolutely loved my room and felt so comfortable. Great bath! The whole place is very clean and inviting. Extremely close to the high Street to walk for a meal and to the shops.

Amazing decor with an occult, esoteric/ witchy vibe. Grand dining room with superb breakfast. Fantastic room with most comfortable bed. Most of all the friendly and just all round cool people who hosted us there.
