We had a fantastic stay at Glencree. The location is perfect, sitting within easy walking distance between Windermere and Bowness, and having free parking was a real bonus.
Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ian was a fantastic host and communication throughout our stay was excellent. He was so welcoming and made us feel right at home.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with excellent quality ingredients and everything cooked fresh to order.
The location itself is beautiful too. We loved being able to sit back and listen to the sound of the river flowing from our room. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
Thank you, Ian, for a wonderful stay. We would definitely return and would highly recommend Glencree to anyone visiting Windermere and the Lake District.

- Ian was very friendly and accommodating
- Room was really clean and bed very comfortable
- Breakfast was delicious and coffee was 10 out of 10!
- Fantastic location between Windermere and Bowness, walking distance to both!
- Check in very easy and straightforward
- Facilities were great
- There wasn't anything we didnt like, we had a wonderful stay

Friendly staff and location
Access to room was difficult up a spiral staircase especially for anyone with mobility issues so perhaps needs to be highlighted on booking form to avoid issues
