A lovely, clean stay in Spello with wonderful staff and beautiful views.

Although I was relocated to another hotel before my arrival, everything was communicated clearly and without any issues. I stayed at La Bastiglia, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The location was perfect, my room was lovely with a beautiful view, everything was very clean, the staff were hospitable, and the breakfast was truly very good.

Good night of sleep while walking the Via di Francesco

Located a little outside of the historic district of Spello, it is located right on the Via di Francesco/St Francis Way. Good facilities, quiet and with excellent beds, linen and towels. Adequate buffet style breakfast.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in a Villa close to the centre of Spello

Warmly welcomed on arrival and appreciated the quick check-in. An early swim in the pool followed by a yummy breakfast were much appreciated.

Perfect quiet base for the Infiorate weekend

Cute little series of rooms only about a ten minute walk from the gates of the old town. Very good breakfast and just the loveliest staff. Also great value for money.

Just what needed

Wanted one night close to centre for L’Infiorata (flower festival) so used room only to sleep. Very central, a wonderful town we have visited before and only 30 minutes from airport

Never have we experienced such a badly planned bathroom that borders with physical danger to the guest. It is also impossible to use the toilet after a shower without walking through water The towels provided were sheets not towels!

A relaxing stay and welcoming atmosphere, wonderful staff, with an extraordinary town to explore.

A very quaint and quiet motel type stay with some genuine spa features, and a fabulous swimming pool in as Italian countryside setting. Our hostess Ms Azzurra was most accommodating and an absolute delight! AND we were greeted by the hotel is mascot Romeo… Who was just purrrfect

The room was a little too minimalistic for such a classical medieval town, but who stays in their room all day with so much to explore?

Pleasant

Proximity to Spello.

We decided to sit in the sun at 16:15 with a glass of wine then the Gardner opted to cut the grass were we satt. The reseptionist told him off but he continued anyway. We decided to use the pool, and would you believe it he started to cut the gras there too. Not only that he also decided to fiddle with som items just to ogel my and my mates wife in their bikinis. The bathroom har cobwebs around the ceiling. Under the bed wasn't much better, also it was obvious that they washed the floor without moving the furniture, as when I moved the chair there was a ring where the foot was. The restaurant to this hotel is mention in the Michelin Guide....one wouldn't think so.

Un borgo stupendo, comunque a parte gli imprevisti lo suggerirei

Per la precisione abbiamo prenotato per un soggiorno all'Hotel Villa dei Medici a Spello ma tre giorni dopo abbiamo ricevuto un sms da HOTEL La Bastiglia ("stessa proprietà") che ci comunicava lo spostamento per lavori di manutenzione.... (evidentemente improvvisi...) presso di loro. Ottima posizione centrale in Spello, personale dell'Hotel molto gentile, ottima colazione, la stanza pulita, il wi-fi "purtroppo non funziona in questi giorni stiamo aspettando il tecnico" Qualche dubbio sulle 4 stelle ....

Soggiorno a Spello

La struttura è molto carina, con un esterno curato e una zona letto accogliente. Posizione ottima, a piedi si raggiunge velocemente il centro di Spello. Colazione varia e ricca di dolci fatti in casa davvero buonissimi.

Note dolenti: Il bagno avrebbe bisogno di essere ammodernato: i sanitari non erano nuovi e risultavano decisamente rovinati. Inoltre, dalla nostra camera si sentivano perfettamente i rumori degli ospiti della stanza accanto.

La camera era bella e pulita. Lo staff gentile e disponibile. Ho apprezzato i detergenti del bagno, offerti dalla struttura, erano in pratici dispencer, ecologici e di buona qualità.

Il bagno della camera è migliorabile, soprattutto lo scarico non adeguato della doccia che ha allegato il bagno. Non mi aspettavo la camera dall'altra parte della strada, lontana dalla struttura e dai servizi principali.

La camera: letto comodo grande e biancheria pulita. Tutta la camera accogliente e pulita , bagno essenziale e un po’ datato ma anch esso pulito e con dei buoni prodotti di cortesia

La spa : ben organizzata ma pulizia da rivedere . Bene sauna e bagno turco , piscina idromassaggio un po’ troppo fredda ma soprattutto sporca . La conformazione della piscina non permette sicuramente una pulizia giornaliera , ma nell’ acqua galleggiavano cose non identificabili e sul muro opposto rispetto alle scalette d ingresso c era una massa di capelli attaccata al muro con sotto un cerotto abbandonato . Consiglio di mettere a disposizione dei copri scarpe per il personale che illustra il funzionamento di sauna e quant altro , ma anche agli ospiti stessi che entrano prima di cambiarsi .

Il bagno aveva la doccia a ridosso del wc e con un sistema di chiusura poco efficace, facendo la doccia si bagnata tutto il bagno. Troppo piccolo il lavandino nonostante ci fosse spazio a sufficienza per uno un pò più ampio.

La struttura è decisamente da ristrutturare, il bagno era veramente ridotto male. Il ristorante è fuori la struttura dentro un altro hotel delle stesso proprietario però molto più bello, con bellissima veduta. Noi andavamo con la macchina, a piedi è una bella passeggiata.
