Lochindaal Hotel

Lovely room with great facilities. Great location in Port Charlotte. Ideal at night time for peace and quiet with the opportunity to relax and have a drink Really enjoyed the food we had there on the first night - good quality pub food

Didn't feel part of a 'hotel' (I know it is a pub/restaurant as you were accessing your room separate to the bar/restaurant, which meant you didn't always see staff. Followed process for getting room cleaned but nothing happened. Different staff each day (although all very friendly) but meant there was no continuity On the last day when we were leaving I couldn't find anyone to say bye to and check it was okay to leave

The beds and room were both comfy and nicely furnished. Everyone made us feel welcomed and couldn’t do enough for us. Super friendly and just a lovely family run hotel and pub. The food was brilliant too..!

The bedroom was a lovely modern renovated room with a new bathroom and great shower. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee maker.

Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, tired looking fruit and nearly empty cereal packets on the bar the first morning.

Location was fine. Breakfast okay but a bit casual. For example fruit juice in cartons on the table, packets of cereal - not what we would expect at this price. Staff very friendly and helpful and cooked bit of breakfast was fine.

Other hotels we have stayed at during this island-hopping trip have offered, for the same price, more spacious public rooms, separate dining area and one even had two swimming pools. In our opinion, the Lochindaal should be marketed as a friendly, traditional Scottish pub with rooms and priced accordingly. We enjoyed staying there but felt it was over-priced.
