Not a pleasant experience for a winter stay especially for a family.

The Host was nice

The room looked like an attic and it was cold in addition on day two when we came back to the room the AC was turned off which made us not even stay for the second night.

Exceptional

The owners were absolutely fantastic. The room we were in had all the amenities, including a much needed A/C for the summer heat. Hassle free stay, we really appreciated it.

Only that the bed was rather squeaky and the sound woke you up if you moved too much during the night. But a heavy sleeper would have been fine.

perfect for what I needed and will stay again if passing through

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Room had fridge and kettle and kitchenware and they provided drinking water from local spring. Small terrace to use for guests as well. Everything was within short walking distance and the room was large and comfortable.

The views weren't great from room or little terrace, but it's a town and not a big deal as stayed a night only.

The bathroom was difficult for friends to share as it was a wet room with poor drainage and thus very wet once a person took a shower. I had never used wet room before so it was new experience.

The property was very convenient for my arrival by train - less than five minutes' walk from the station. It was easy to locate the guesthouse, where Ivan was waiting with a very nice friendly welcome - thank you! Ivan showed me on a map the interesting and important places in the town. The room was immaculately clean. It was well equipped with a fridge and plates/glasses/cups and other things if you want to do some limited self catering (supermarkets do a wide range of takeaway foods at the deli counter). There is a kettle in the room, and a microwave in the hallway right outside the room. There is also a little terrace to sit with a coffee or beer in the fresh air. As well as a double bed and single bed, the spacious room also had a seating area with sofa, table and two stools. This was nice for relaxing in the evening. There were plenty of electrical sockets and a few different lighting options in the room. There was also a hairdryer, plus soap and shampoo and plenty of toilet paper supplied. The property felt safe and secure. It was about a ten minute easy walk to the centre of the town, with the rose park and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. There are two supermarkets within a couple of minutes' walk. Right adjacent to the guesthouse there is a pizza restaurant which, although I didn't try it, seemed to be busy and popular with locals. Thank you so much to Ivan and his family for a lovely friendly welcome and a memorable stay in Kazanlak. I would love to return to the town, and of course to this well-cared-for guesthouse. Thank you very much!

Really good for what we wanted.

Beautifully clean. The guys who run the place really welcoming and friendly. Really close to a very nice restaurant (Chanovete) where we went for dinner. Really close to the station for our onward journey. Flexible with our checkout time. Even as a smoker, insistence on no smoking except on the balcony.

Very masculine with dark colours but not a problem. Slight plumbing problem in Room 1 with leakage under the shower but no big deal. Bedside lamps bit difficult to read by.

Just get this one, your search has come to an end!

Hair dryer, fridge, TV, ports for charging next to every bed. Microwave! Dishes! Extra blankets! Shampoo and soap included! Free parking too! There are 4 sleeping spots in the room, though there isn't a "double bed" as advertized, but rather just two smaller beds pushed together. At the end it was completely fine though. While there may be no radiators and the room is quite cold by default, you can still turn the air conditioner up to 30°C and enjoy! The host speaks very good English and Russian, and he replied very fast when I messaged him on the Booking website. Also, even though it comes with "no breakfast included", there is a very decent eating place right next to the hostel, which opens everyday of the week at 6 am. Not the best of food quality, but the prices are super cheap for Europeans.

The boiler in the bathroom was leaking a bit, so the floor there was constantly a bit wet, but I am sure that will be fixed soon! Wasn't an issue for us.

Good location, near both the railway and the bus stations. The owners were both very nice and attentive. Plus there was a cute cat ☺️

There was some problem with the shower cabin drainage and the beds weren't very comfortable, but overall it was good value for money.

good value guest house

Easy to find, walking distance from bus/train station, this cosy guest house is near the supermarket and there is a good restaurant close by as well so the location could not be better. Very friendly host speaks good English.

Room is so big it remained somewhat chilly throughout my stay even if I had the heating on all the time.

Very central apartment offering all the essentials

The apartment was well located near to transport, museums and shops. It was quiet and there was a nice terrace to read on. Check in was easy and we felt safe at all times. The bathroom had a proper shower enclosure.

Would come back!

It's a great place for the price tag. It's not fancy, but it's clean, the owners are nice, it's safe and so so central to visit the city and the rose valley. We were there for the rose picking festival and it was great!

The showers are open, the entire bathroom gets wet. Again for the price tag it's totally fine.

The true heart of Bulgaria

Peter and his father really made my stay in Kazanlak comfortable and memorable. From the moment I booked online, they responded quickly and maintained efficient contact, making me feel at ease. They were very friendly and welcoming on my (later than planned) arrival, and provided a thorough check-in. The room I stayed in was something between a hotel and guest house experience, and the en-suite shower, comfy double bed, TV and working fridge all felt like luxuries on my budget travels. The place is close to a highway but I didn't notice any noise, and the location turned out to be ideal, being a short walk into town, and in very close proximity to the bus and train stations, with a supermarket opposite. I'd recommend the nearby restaurant (Chanovete) for decent traditional Bulgarian dishes and a warm local vibe! Kazanlak and the surrounding areas are full of things to see and do, and Guest House Bulgari offers the best base from which to explore them!

I was chilly in the room, but that was expected with the freezing, wintery weather in Kazanlak that particular week. There was a heating system that kept my room warm, though it took a little while. But this is standard in Bulgaria, and for me, was not an issue.

Would definitely recommend, last but not least because of the exceptional hospitality and careful instructions on what to visit around the city. The several friendly cats around the yard were a nice bonus.

Wonderful place with Mountain View and friendly people

The owner of the inn was really kind and nice person. We decided to extend our stay with one day and he let us keep our room . It was very clean, every day the house keeper will come and tide up our room. I really enjoyed every morning drinking the rose hip tea 🍵 that he left in our room with my husband on the main balcony of the floor in the company of two very friendly cats 🐈‍⬛ . We also loved waking up and seeing the sun and the mountain Stara Planina from our window in the morning when we pulled the curtains of the windows. Me and my husband enjoyed the family space at night watching a movie before bed on the cable television. The owner also gave us a great tips for places to eat and visit during our stay. We had a great time in his hotel.
