Great location, super comfy room... with few minor tweaks, if would be really great place to stay

The location is superb. The checkin process worked smoothly, although everything is automated and there is nobody physically present. The bed was very comfortable, the room is spacious. It offers a coffee machine, basic cutlery and a small fridge - a great touch of good service! The breakfast is served in the coffee place right next door, convenient and welcoming.

The Internet did not work all the time. The breakfast choices are really modest - no cereals, no fruit, no eggs. Just toast, croissant, basic juice and coffee. The shower is missing some toiletries, like shampoo... I saw that someone already complained about it, seems that it was not an exception there either...

Good for a very short stay but certainly not the best for families.

Location was really nice, almost everything is available in walking distance. Breakfast was okay too.

That it didn’t get daily cleaning. It wasn’t nice that we couldn’t get towels replaced as often as we’d want, I think they capped new towel requests at one for our stay, and that wasn’t nice considering we had a 2yr old. Also wasn’t nice that we had to sort out trash ourselves, almost felt like a BnB, even though the property didn’t identify as that.

Lovely location, friendly staff

The property was lovely, and easy to access. The staff there, and in the office nearby was very friendly and helpful. They even surprised us with complementary breakfast.

Property good but a bit more empathy needed towards guests

Excellent location and clean room. The breakfast was not a full blown buffet but completely acceptable and good. The owners were also very responsive on whatsapp which made communication easy.

The attitude of the owner when the AC did not work for one day of our stay. We came back after a very hot day’s touring and in the late evening the AC stopped working. I texted the owners at 1 AM to let them know of the issue, not expecting an answer (can be proven). The next day I checked out and mentioned on whatsapp that i will write a fair review of how my stay was not great because the AC did nor work and my wife started to feel sick at night because of the heat. It was shocking that the owner tried to belittle the issue by mentioning that this is a small issue and Im complaining because nobody came to repair the AC at 1AM! I was appalled at this reply. My propblem is not with the AC per se but just the sheer presumptious attitude. People are different and they can have actual problems with things that others deem trivial like pets, nuts, heat etc etc. The least we can do is to be inclusive and show some empathy. I am not expected to jot down all my health issues on booking.com when I reserve a BnB. This was something that really bothered me. As I mentioned there is a lot to like about this property but the owners lavk of empathy really made me uncomfortable. I must mention that the owner later offered me a discount the next time I visit to make up for this but I declined this offer

Very comfortable, good location, great place to visit.

Breakfast at the adjacent coffee shop was great, staff were very friendly and service was quick. Aperitifs in the evening were also very tasty. Short walk into the main center and from the train station, close to the boat landings and funicular.

Aircon wasn't working but luckily it wasn't too warm at Como, problem was fixed.

Beautiful room. Bathroom needs addressing

Great location. Beautiful room but lacks some basic amenities.

Lighting in bathroom is so low it’s hard to put on make up/shave. No where in shower to put shampoo/conditioner except the floor. Same as sink. Soap had to sit on bare counter. No tissue in bathroom. No onsite staff

There wasn't a mirror in the room only one in the bathroom (very first world problem I know) No shelving in the shower to put our soap As you can see these are super minor things as everything was great, when we had an issue with our AC it was fixed after a couple of hours

Great place

We stayed in number 6 villa monestaro. It was amazing, really spacious, excellent shower. Large comfy bed, nice balcony. It’s in a really good location, just 10 mins from the lake, 5 mins to the main square.

The breakfast isn’t great, but it’s included so that’s no stress!

The location is perfect if to travel by train

It was a bit complicated to self check-in. After contacting the manager by phone and getting more information I could manage and even help my friends to access their room. My room was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was served with a smile and satisfactory. The location is perfect if to travel by train.

The information in the room is very basic. It took me a long time to get the TV working.

The room was comfortable. The included breakfast was appreciated. The location was good.

The initial process for gaining access to the property was stressful. After filling out on online form and getting a code, you have to enter that at one place and then try to run upstairs fast enough to enter your room. If you aren't fast enough, you have to do it again. And if it doesn't work as in our case, you do that multiple times before giving up and calling for help. Once you're in the room the first time, you get access to a physical card key and its ok.

The room Villa Olma was disappointing.

We have stayed here previously, but in a different room. The location is great. The breakfast at the cafe is good. The room was clean.

The room was smaller than we had before, the bed takes up almost all the room. We had no hot water for all of our stay, the contact insisted there was, and seemed to think we were not being truthful. No one came to check. We were refunded for one night. The bathroom had a chipped sink, and the toilet seat was broken. There is the equipment to make coffee or boil water but no makings. The extension lead for the kettle/coffee maker didn’t seem to work.

The property was better than the service we experienced.

Location was great and a very nice apartment.

Service we were not impressed with. Ran out of toilet supplies the day before we left and were promised replacement. That did not happen. Very disappointed with the included breakfast. Very minimal, no butter supplied and coffee lukewarm, hence only one sitting attempted.

Disappointed, we don’t recommend at all for that price

We paid 300€/night and it didn’t worth it … no hand towel, no shower gel, no glasses in the bathroom, no water bottles, no tissues and only one toilet paper … The room was really smaller than excepted and dark … it was very noisy during the night because of the road in front of our windows and visibly, all the room have their windows on the road side…. It’s a self check-in and when I called the staff because I was unable to open my room door (the key card was inside), he seems to be really upset to explain me … We were very disappointed and we left a day earlier …

Awful. Never again.

Nothing at all, the bed was awful, the pillows needs to be recycled a couple years ago. Some noise was all the time. Even no the compliment water. Near is the dog place, so be ready for the barking all the time. Breakfast is simple as possible.

Good location and cafe next door.

Needs some small touches like suppling bottled water in the mini bar and more soap/shower gel. The code you are issued to get into the room appears to be the same each time, a colleagues code opened a guests room before they had checked out!

close to old town. bar downstairs was great for breakfast which included a croissant of choice super fresh, coffee of choice, fresh squeezed orange juice and cheese and ham toastie. very sufficient!

not much space. quite dark on arrival as all curtains closed. dust not removed regularly. sink wouldn’t drain in bathroom which meant we washed our hands in bidet often 😩no spare toilet paper.

Not recommended for families reality vs pictures don't match unfortunately.

Self-check-in is easy and user-friendly (just remember that once you enter the code outside at the main entrance the door inside is unlocked as well, once you booked). Breakfast is tasty and fresh!

The room was damaged in many places. Water leakage in the shower (room #3) at least. It goes all the way to the stairs and gets very slippery. You get only one towel set so use them wisely (as we had to use more than 1 to clear the wet floor in the bathroom). They don't speak any English at breakfast so it can get very difficult to explain something but these days you can manage using apps (maybe not ideal for everyone). We had a crib but it was damaged on 1 side and had no mattress. Some kind of mattress was delivered later but they had no other cribs and we were left with the broken one so we had to improvise how to make sure our toddler doesn't fall out. Cleanliness was poor as we found a lot of dust around and especially under the bed as our toddler was going through the room with some nails and hair.

For that money I would expect a decent breakfast. We only had choice between croissants en toasty. And I thought there was free parking in the neighborhood, but unfortunately there was not.

pleasant but not worth 400 euros

it was quite at night and the bed and tv were great to have.

no daily cleaning, cobwebs and spider in the corner, marks all over walls and only two towels for a 3 night stay with 2 people.

Convenient and comfortable for a 2-3 days trip

Excellent location near the historical city center, renovated and comfortable apartment. Municipality parking opposite the building (not free)

Breakfast isn’t the typical you expect in a hotel (limited to a pastry and a drink). Cleaning levels were very good, not excellent though. Hairdryer was broken and never got a replacement. Take your shampoos as well

Not to shabby

Room was very comfortable, bed and bathroom were great. Breakfast at the bar in the morning was good, nothing crazy but enough to get ya going. Location was perfect for arriving from the train station as it was easy to walk to. Also very easy to walk around Como from the location.
