In one word, excellent.

The staff were absolutely delightful. The staff in the breakfast room and the bar require a special mention. Nothing was too much trouble. They were without exception polite and courteous at all times.

It was great. We had a lovely room with views of Loch Linnhe and the mountains beyond. It is a short walk into town, or a £4 taxi ride, whichever the weather permitted. The taxi drivers we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic staff and fantastic hotel.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was spotless and the room had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was delicious and the food was consistently excellent quality. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly, with a special mention for the young man running the bar in the evenings. Even when it was extremely busy, he greeted everyone with a smile and stayed calm, respectful and professional throughout. I even got a room with a view!

Very enjoyable stay

Room was reasonable comfortable but very small. Great free breakfast included in the price and an added bonus was the table service. We stayed in November, we have also stayed in the summer months and breakfast is a self service buffet then.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and always have to ask for an additional chair, it would be beneficial to visitors if the hotel supplied two chairs for two people staying in a double room.

Fantastic location right on the Loch and just a few minutes’ walk from the village. Recently renovated rooms and bar, both very comfortable. The menu is varied, with several Indian dishes to choose from. Breakfast buffet is plentiful, with a wide selection of options.

Stunning location right on the loch. Food at the pub and restaurant was good and staff were friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean, warm and had good views.

Parking not on site which made luggage a bit of a mission as it was busy and no room to drop off and was very icey. Had to carry suitcases up multiple external flights of stairs then realised in the morning when leaving that there was a ground level door leading to the lift and we could have avoided that if someone had told us on check in.

Amazing hotel and staff

The hotel is amazing- has loads of great character - and a great lift to the upper floors - the room was stunning very clean and bed very comfortable- bathroom had a walk in shower as well requested- we were here over Christmas 5 nights and every day the room was serviced - bed made up for us - the staff are absolutely fantastic- made us feel so welcome and took time to talk to us at breakfast and dinner We ate in the restaurant a lot - the food was beautiful- portions were just right size - we had Christmas dinner in the restaurant and was faultless lots of choices and full of flavour- staff were very attentive to make sure we enjoyed the meal and time - never rushed - we will definitely be coming back again - thank you Karen on reception for all the info she gave us about the local area 10/10 experience for a lovely Christmas break Thank you all Mel and Wendy

Friendly staff, super charming & cosy vibe especially during the Christmas season. Beautiful view at the loch. Next to fort William and Glencoe hiking trails. Sufficient parking facilities.

Lovely hotel, Terrible parking

Bedrooms and hotel generally were lovely. Location was good.

Even though we booked a room which came with a parking spot on site, we were told we had to park at another hotel. This put me off to a really bad start to be told this after paying beforehand. After my refusing to park elsewhere, I was accomodated to park within the grounds. Unfortunately, I would not return due to this which is a shame because we come to Fort William regularly.

A very comfortable 1 night stay

While the facade of the hotel appears old and the inside of the hotel is nothing to shout about, the bedroom amazes us with how modern, clean and spacious it is. It appears to be newly refurbished, the toiletries are good, the bed firm and comfy, the shower strong, and the heating is easy to set up and working very well. Would definitely recommend it if you are just looking for a convenient, clean and comfortable stay!

The walls are thin. Can hear sounds from other rooms but not conversations. It didn’t bother us much but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to ask for a quieter room.

Great breakfast, entire hotel very clean, room clean and well-kept.

The shower had very low water pressure, and the bathroom fan didn’t seem to work making it very steamy. Bed was very firm (and uncomfortable), linen was clean but looked like it needed a good oxy-boost or bleach!

Lovely clean welcoming hotel

Hotel and staff are wonderful. Food was good in the bar.

Only one tiny complaint that can easily be fixed. We paid for a superior room (it was gorgeous) our main window overlooked the neighbours back garden it would really benefit from a voile curtain as it’s the only source of natural sunlight. We had to keep the main curtain closed all of the stay

We had the loveliest time in Fort William, the hotel was just right and made the visit perfect

Firstly the location overlooking the Loch was just stunning and a wonderful surprise as didn't realise it was so close. Sitting on the terrace that evening was heaven. Staff friendly, even though our room was at the rear of the property it was still lovely. Our son had views of the Loch from his room. Bed so comfortable had great nights sleep, bathroom excellent and the complimentary toiletries were gorgeous. I cannot fault the rooms and we are already planning our next trip and will be staying here again

The welcome at reception can only be described as a cursory hello. I felt the lady just could not be bothered with guests. She did ask for a credit card for incidentals yet we were unable to make charges to the rooms. Made no sense.

Top class design and cleanliness

The bedroom was beautifully designed and prepared. I have used hundreds of hotels and found this Hotel to be the cleanest and best designed. I would recommend this hotel to even the most fastidious person.

Great location for walking into Fort William town. Hotel clean

Breakfast average. Coffee very weak with little flavour and no options with tea. Only one type. No fresh fruit or much choice on cold breakfast. The outside railing was very rusty and in desperate need of replacing.

Nice enough location, food nice, room a bit old and drab and definitely felt let down by Sayed!

Location nice the front of hotel overlooks Lake Linhe. Walking distance from restaurants shops etc. We caught taxi from train station 5pounds. Dinner available evenings. Breakfast very nice and was included in cost. Beds ok quite comfy. There was a towel warmer where you could dry delicates.

Shower in Bath (Bath very high so was difficult to get in and out) Linen on beds was old. There was a kettle but no safe or fridge. One reception staff member "Sayed" offered to drive us to Ben Nevis and return for 80pounds. As we didn't know how far we had to travel and we thought working at hotel he would be reputable we accepted and he showed us a couple of sights along the way. When we got to Ben Nevis he said he was unable to take us back to hotel. He however did take the money, So basically he left us there to find our own way back. We (my elderly sister and I) enquired at café and was told we could get a bus back to town which we did for i think was 6 pound each. So would stay away from hotel staff offering day trips.
