Overall our stay was quite good.

Room small but adequate. Breakfast not hot enough. Location good, near hospital. Parking very tight and crowded even in daytime. Do the public park there? Evening meals in the bistro were excellent.

Parking, breakfast. More effort needed to have the breakfast heated. Warm plates would be a good start. Toaster seemed to stick so that some slices got stuck.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I called the Hotel to let them know that I will be late due to a big hike on Ben Nevis and they assured me that my book is there and someone will be there to hand the key of the room. I ask for a specific task and I was happy to receive it. Thank you for very much for all your help and definettly I ll come back with first occasion to explore more.

Good value for money 5m walk to the bus and train stations.

It was across the street from the train station which was perfect. The room was small with a comfortable double bed mattress. Both bathroom and bedroom were super clean with lovely sheets and towels. I had a delicious beef roast dinner and a delicious breakfast. Excellent value for money.

There was no hot water and the shower head leaked. Probably needed tightening. But no hot water??? I was so looking forward to a hot shower after a couple of days outdoors in the cold.

Room was basic but clean. Location is excellent, being just a few minutes from Fort William high street. Breakfast was excellent.

Room was small, sparsely furnished and had a horrible outlook into a prison yard type courtyard. Reception staff weren't particularly friendly. There is one tiny lift that you can only fit 2 people in for the whole hotel so you have to use the stairs which are all over the place via various warren like corridors. The carpark is cramped, on a slope with small spaces, so people park badly and you worry about your car being damaged. The bistro is pretty basic and food was ok, but we would have done better eating out in Fort William, but the hotel told us that the dining hall gets booked up quickly and encouraged us to reserve a table. Not the case. There are lots of good eating options in Fort William.

Great location, friendly service and a good base for highland journeys for train travellers

Great location, spacious room, old hotel that's been upgraded for tech savvy guests, with USB ports, strong wi-fi. Good hot water shower pressure is splendid after a cold wet trek. Easy walk to town high street and its excellent restaurants.

While everything is upgraded, that's not the case with the bistro which still serves the 'old' style cuisine or cooking the old way. The leathery tough roast beef dinner was a challenge. The buffet breakfast was decent.

I would never recommend this property. Staying in the car would have been better then this hotel.

Very very unprofessional staff, bad rooms, lobby/walkways carpets on our floor were very back. Old property with very very bad interiors, run down structure, TV was not working, no iron board/ iron, Staff at the breakfast area was very rude & not at all courteous as they should have been.

Welcome was appalling, no greeting whatsoever just “ surname ? “ Also realised I had paid more than the website showed so tried to discuss this with the receptionist but all she did show me my booking form with no further explanation. Most unhelpful. Noisy room with lots of doors banging elsewhere and a noisy fan trunking just outside the window.

Pleasent stay with very good location.

Very good location. Faciliyt is old but well maintained. Very clean. We did not have breakfast there. The bar that is connected to the hotel had live music on the night we were there. It was excellent.

It is a typical large tourist hotel. Peeling paint in the bedroom ,in need of TLC. The room we were given was beside a big air duct so very noisy until around 10pm. We had a meal there which was not good, I couldn't chew the meat. Got 20% discount on my meal , however the pudding was good.

I’d go again for one night only if I needed a budget stay and a big dinner mid journey to elsewhere

The price was reasonable, relatively speaking. Dinner portions were huge, which many will appreciate.

Some of the restaurant staff were a little remote and off-hand. I chose the “superior single room” I’m not sure what made it superior though.it seems fairly average.maybe becuase it had a (very slight) view of the sea (across the busy and noisy main road)? Fort William is a tip though,.. and little will change that. Guests at the breakfast all looked a bit miserable … the place felt a little like one step up from a hostel in some ways…
