Nice countryside location but within easy reach of local attractions

An old water mill which is very quaint and has been modernised to a good standard. Very quiet and peaceful but is well situated to visit attractions in the local area. The owners live on site so if there was a problem they are there to help out.

Fabulous stay in the Speyside area.

This is a fabulously presented cottage from the moment you drive up to it and when you step inside. It's in a quite rural setting but also central to exploring the Speyside area. It suits 2 couples with ensuites for each room and a common lounge to relax in. The kitchen is well appointed. The feature of the old mill parts behind the display windows is a nice touch and adds to the tastefully decorated cottage.

Loved the building and the friendly people who run it

There was nothing we didn’t like except we assumed that the secure garden was part of the property rental and it wasn’t,as there was a road running past and the occasional fast vehicle, making it possible for our dogs to run out into it My only other small criticism is that as an older couple we found the shower trays very slippery when using and a wall handle would be very useful

Fabulous little cottage

We had a fabulous stay. The cottage is really well equipped and was really clean. Plenty space and some beautiful original features which make it a really unique place to stay. It's in a beautiful setting and is really close to Elgin. Andrea (and her gorgeous dogs Morgan and Ruby) was a lovely host and was really friendly and approachable. The welcome gifts were a really nice touch too. Thanks so much for an amazing stay. We have already booked to come back!

Very comfortable four person appartment central on Moray Coast

Very pleasant apartment for two couples in a beautiful historic building located strategically close to Elgin and the beautiful Moray Coast. Well equipped dining kitchen, en suite bedrooms, comfortable sitting room, outside area, this place has it all. Lots to do and see: beaches, coast walks, fishing villages, excellent links golf courses, historic Elgin, Fort George, Culloden etc Moray weather is usually a lot better than the surrounding parts of Scotland. Would stay again.

Minor details that can be solved easily: -Lights need some attention: sitting room wall lamps tend to flicker and the kitchen hood lights did not work for us. -Electric shower head could be placed better as it is now too far in corner -Limited storage. We left golf bags in the cars

Fabulous property in a super location with a welcoming host.

Great location with beautiful grounds. The Barley Mill has been renovated and styled with a lot of thought, care and attention to detail. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and equipment, the lounge area is very comfortable as is the bed in the main bedroom. We were lucky with the weather so can't comment on the heating but there was plenty of hot water. The garden area for the Mill is great as is the fact you can use the shared lawn area, which our dogs loved. This was our first trip away with our 2 small dogs and they were made to feel very welcome and seemed to have a great time.

Perhaps some instructions on working the TV, moving between TV and Netflix for example took a bit of working out.

A relaxing, comfortable and peaceful escape.

Peaceful location, lovely grounds, close to beaches, golf and quiet roads for cycling. Andrea was very friendly, helpful and especially accommodating when we received some unexpected visitors.

Nothing really but one improvement might have been a gate to reduce the risk of our dogs straying into the road. But, it’s a small point and the grounds are big enough.

The accommodation was just beautiful and so peaceful. It had everything you could possible need and all the little touches were fabulous, definitely a home from home experience. Everything was absolutely perfect, its a beautiful property with lots of quirky features, very clean and very very comfortable. Host kindly left us a jar of Pickle which was homemade and delicious and a bottle of Prosecco which was greatly appreciated after a long day at work. Location was perfect for us as we where working in Elgin, so 10 mins from our site. Would definitely stay there again.

Maybe Wifi speed could've been quicker, but to be honest, if I'd not had to do some drawing work when I got home, then it would've been okay.

Fabulous place. Great value. Very comfortable. Lovely hosts. Great base for exploring the area. Well maintained. Warm and cosy.

We struggled a bit with not having a convenient plug point near a mirror for hairdrying. Shower heads are in a very tight corner of the shower unit. Small observations and otherwise would have given a 10 out of 10 score.

Everything you need the kitchen was fully equipped down to slow cooker and crocpot Great deal off thought has gone into this it's a home away from home Highly recommended you won't be disappointed

Was nt keen on the light switches they are ultra modern which have a red light for off and blue light for on these are also Dim switches. We found these to be to bright for our liking they illuminated the bedrooms. Nit picking to be honest

Premium cottage with everything you need for a really comfortable stay

beautifully designed inside with so many nice extra touches like kids books, blankets, dressing gowns and really well equipped kitchen. beds were comfy and towels were super fluffy, everything felt really new. the pictures don't do it justice!
