Big garden
Not very clean , old furniture only one bathroom.

The property is conveniently located, a stones throw from the local pubs, shops and most importantly, the river.
I never ventured upstairs, so can't comment on any other rooms, but the bedroom on tbe ground floor was a little cold. Once in bed it was comfortable enough.

Dunvegan is very spacious well equipped property. It was comfortable and warm. Kitchen has everything and more that you'd need. There are great walks right from the front door. A pretty harbour and a very well stocked village shop... Sells just about everything! There's a garden to enjoy in good weather... It was snowing while we were there! Great house and excellent value for money.
Only having 1 bathroom on the ground floor. Means trotting downstairs in the night. A very good shower over the bath though. There were 6 of us so we had to take turns in the morning and evening for use of the bathroom. An upstairs loo and shower would really be useful in this property as it can accommodate 8.

Conveniently located. Very good size, comfortable beds.
It would have been nice to have some teabags and coffee, perhaps kitchen roll as well.

It was ideally positioned for our route back to Inverness. As it’s a whole house we had plenty of bedrooms to choose from. We didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed to be reasonably well stocked.
For a large house, the fact that there is only one bathroom seemed odd. Especially as most of the bedrooms are upstairs and If you have get up in the night, as I do, it was not easy to go downstairs for the loo.

Fabulous family accommodation with 4 good sized bedrooms in a great base location allowing much exploration of the beautiful surrounding Highland landscapes.
The house has everything you could need in terms of appliances, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. And the furnishings, beds and living accommodation are comfortable and spacious.
Highly recommended!
The only improvement would perhaps be the addition of a second bath / shower room, given the size of the house and the number of guests it can accommodate. A couple of the bedrooms are certainly generous enough to accommodate an en-suite. Having said this it didn't spoil our stay (5 guests) for 2 nights, but a longer stay might have proved more problematic.

Plenty of space.
dead spiders in a damp smelling bathroom, food and rubbish in fridge. Shabby decor.

Huge house more than enough for our needs. Central location. Had everything you would need.
It is an old house so be prepared for that it’s not all brand spanking new.

This is a large property which had plenty of space for just the 3 of us. It is situated in a quiet fishing village just a couple of streets away from a shop, pubs and a couple of snack places - convenient after a long NC500 drive up the east coast. Also it is a couple of streets off the main road so there is no traffic noise but is well situated for a walk down the village to the harbour. We did the this walk for the couple of nights we stayed. On street parking - we were able to park our hire car on the street immediately opposite the property. We found a clothes airer in the storage cupboard which was useful for wet gear.
Not a criticism but for other guests be aware the bathroom is on the ground floor.

Located very near the two village pubs. Kitchen was very nice.
Loved the Bannockburn Inn and it's Tartan restaurant. Great vegan pizzas.
The carpet in living room needs updating. Some of the other floors especially the bathroom needed attention.

Nice kitchen, good location and ample parking.
Bathroom floor near radiator needs repair and some of the lounge furniture could do with updating.

location and size of rooms. good shower.
cooker lighting implement. Needs long lighter, not a cigarette lighter. Chairs to main table could do with replacing. Not very comfortable to sit on.

The property was spacious & comfortable, in a lovely village.
Only having one bathroom/toilet was a bit difficult, but manageable.

Very well appointed holiday home that was going to be our perfect final long stop on our North Coast 500 trip.
Village was lovely & there lots to do & see. Host made great efforts to sort our issues
Alas, the boiler was on the blink & despite an offer from Calum for a full refund, we enjoyed the facilities as they were, no heating or hot shower!!
Coolish at times. Plenty of bedding helped us stay warm & still managed a warm bath!

Bedrooms a very good size, good facilities in the kitchen.
The one bathroom for 7 guests did seem a little impractical, and there was a little bit of mould in the bathroom.

Location, size of property, facilities. Everything was 5*. I only wish we'd booked for more than one night. Will definitely book this property again. Thank you Calum for letting us stay in your spacious property
There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was above my expectations.

Big comfortable rooms, very comfortable beds, very well equipped house with some exceptions, silent area, perfect starting point to discover east part of NC500, local shops and restaurants are in walking distance.
Overall cleanliness: mold in bathroom on the ceiling, very strange bathroom floor (it’s like paper), dirty kitchenware, bug remains in the sugar box. missing hairdryer, no feedback from the owner.

Location and cleanliness was good.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and the property has gone downhill from then and because it was good the last time, we rebooked this time. However, dining room seats burst, loose floor boards in the livingroom, some light bulbs out, some pans with broken handles.
The house has not been improved in any way from our last visit. There is no wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom and the house does really need another bathroom or an en-suite given it can cater for so many.

Large spacious bedrooms, fantastic shower, and great kitchen.
It was fine for two of us, but if we had occupied all 4 bedrooms, it could have been a problem with only one bathroom

super big house location great for base and travelling around the area
the heating came on half 3 in the morning and when we came back from a day out it was freezing cold downstairs and no instructions for operating the heating! this was booked for my aunt and uncle and not technologically minded, so struggled with smart tv also no instructions .. the issues were written in the first book but not explained fully …

beautiful old house comfy sofas and beds
could do with some TLC some wallpaper hanging off here and there dirty skirtings
didn’t bother me too much but this house could be so much better

It was very homely and well kept.
Nothing, it is ideal for a family to stay.

Beautifully colourful front room to welcome you and pleasantly warm. Great kitchen. Comfy beds.
The key safe would be easier to find if it was by the back door, plus it was really tricky to open. The host confirmed that he does plan to change its location.
