La Spezia Paradise found at Serena and Diagos slice of heaven in La Spezia.

There is nothing negative I could say about Serena and Diagos stunning chateau overlooking La Spezia. You can feel the love they pour into their place, everywhere you look. Attention to detail is impeccable, and their warm, friendly and well-spoken english made being in their company a true pleasure and ease. Our room was comfy, and cute. Again, with all the bonus little touches only special people like Serena think to execute; for example, hand picked pillow fragrance, etc. The breakfast is served in a stunning location and was fresh, delicious and again, presented with a lot of love and thought. After reading the reviews prior to our arrival, we knew it was a must to enjoy one of the inhouse dinners which we did on our final night, and opted for the 5 courses plus indulged in their very own wine and it was all absolutely faultless. This is an absolute must whilst you're here. The wellness area was a real treat also after 2 days walking the Cinque Terre and with a stunning view of the La Spezia nightlights making it romantic, relaxing and rejuvinating. I can't recommend this place enough, do yourself a favour and book right away and give back the love Serena and Diago deserve!

The stairs were a challenge, but made for a good way to burn off all the delicious wine and food we've been indulging in.

Fantastic stay

We felt like we were staying with close friends or family. The facilty is beautiful and the views of La Spezia cant be beat. Breakfast served every morning was outstanding. Everything was locally grown and prepared with passion for the ingredients. Serena and Diego were the most kind hosts and shared with us part of their story in creating this place. We were a bit challenged with stairs and they were so kind to deliver our bags. The stairs are tough, but even with a mobility issue, we overcame them and enjoyed a view that is beyond description. I truly hope we can return here and enjoy more of the Cinque Terre and the sea around La Spezia. Im so glad we stayed here and recommend Belvedere 9 highly.

Lovely hosts make your stay special

All positiv reviews well deserved. Serena and Diego put so much effort in it, that every guest feeling welcome in their resort. You can see Serenas love to detail all over the place and it's really special. As mentioned from many other guests we also recommend the lovely linguric dinner with a great view, delicious food and pretty arrangements. Couldn't think about a more lovely place with two great hosts.

Dream house with a view

Absolute dream location. Fantastic view, beautiful house and garden, lovingly decorated. From the jasmine, lavender and rosemary scents in the garden to the scented pillow spray for the bedroom, the property is so well cared for and so are the guests. We had breakfast on the terrace every morning, enjoying the beautiful view, and had dinner at the venue twice enjoying the sunset. It was an ocean of peace after the crowds of Cinque Terre. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The house is on a steep cliff and would be hard to reach for anyone with mobility issues as cars can only bring you to the top of the garden, which includes a steep incline and some steps.

Everything was excellent! Serena is a super host!!! The villa has an amazing view over the La Spezia Gulf. We recommend Belvedere for people value quality over quantity. Don't hesitate to choose the 6 course tasting menu and try the wines!

AMAZING

I would give this place 1000 stars if I could! My husband and I stayed here for a week on our honeymoon and it was incredible. It is straight out of a romantic movie set in rural Italy, but the city is very close. Just make sure to take a taxi from the city out there. By bus and then foot there is 524 steps (yes we counted) and they are fine going down, but can be a lot when going back from a day of walking. The hosts did tell us though, so that’s on us. We didn’t even know they made their own food until they asked us if we wanted dinner on our arrival day a couple of days before we arrived. But this was the best food we had in the whole trip. Most of the ingredients were grown on their farm, and we got to try some local dishes we would have never heard of. The pool area is nice, calm and clean. They have a fridge stocked with wine, water, drinks and snacks. None of the usual stuff, but again homemade vegetable chips and juices. All of it delicious. The host couple is extremely nice. We didn’t have much contact with the husband, but he made the food, so that alone makes him my best friend. The wife is the de facto hostess and is so sweet and helpful. She will help you find the right bus, tell you about the good restaurants and how best to get around. All while smiling and joking, such a pleasant soul. All in all I can not recommend it enough. Everything about this place is perfect. You will not regret visiting.

You need to be aware the you have to go down maybe 50 steps to get to the hotel, even if you arive by car. However, it is well worth the stairs!

Absolute highest recommendation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Belvedere9 is situated with incredible views overlooking la spezia harbour. it is a peaceful and restful place that is both conveniently located along the Cinque Terre and is also a world of its own. It is a wonderful place to pause and I would recommend having time in your schedule to spend a day or two simply being there without going out as it is absolutely wonderful. The most special thing about Belvedere9 are the hosts - their hospitality is royalty standard and the food is all local/home grown, absolutely delicious and presented with pride and care. I would not be surprised if soon Belvedere9 becomes booked for years in advance it is so good 🌟

The breakfast was outstanding. The dinner we had was also lovely. It is a very nice place to stay -- super cute and modern with a lovely view of La Spezia. It was a little hard to find and it is a hike from the train station but that's what makes it so enchanting.

worth fighting the steps a beautiful chill out

it was the perfect chill out, relaxing one night stop.

the steps down to the property. the only way to access it. they were very very steep. to be honest if we had read this we wouldn’t of stayed but we are glad we didn’t. you leave suitcases in car and simply take toothbrush and clean pants!

An absolute jewel in La Spezia!

On top of La Spezia, amazing view. Very clean villa with friendly owners. A cosy place which made us feel at home. We wanted to extend our stay a bit it was unfortunately full for the next days:( we also had dinner and it was just delicious. We will surely go back!

It is very difficult to say what I liked the most.. Everything it was just perfect! The view is stunning, Serena and Diego are amazing hosts. Always making sure that we were having a very relaxing and good time. The food that they prepare by using regional and their own garden products makes the expereinece even more unique!

great place would love to come back

The location is great , beautiful view of La Spezia and 5 minutes drive from Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre) Serena and her husband are great hosts. breakfast is all home made products that they make themselves . they know all you need to know about the area and activities and they are very helpful

the access from the parking requires getting down the the hill in stairs with the luggage and it was a bit difficult for us (thank got my husband is strong enough to carry it all)

OMG this place was so gorgeous, we absolutely loved every minute there. The first thing that stands out is the amazing attention and love that the owners put into their work. They have been super attentive, friendly, gave us tons of tips, cooked incredible food and have been just very nice, enjoyable people. The hotel is gorgeous, intimate, offers great food and a spectacular breakfast. The rooms are very nice, comfortable and well decorated, the beds and linen are great and also the soaps in the bathroom are very nice.

LE TENDE!!!! The rooms absolutely need black-out curtains because loads of light pours in every morning and if you are sensitive to light it can be a bit of an issue to sleep in. The other thing to keep in mind is that are is quite a few stairs between the parking and the hotel, so get ready to carry your luggage up and down (although Diego will help you out if needed).

Eccezionale!

This Agriturismo is the best! What a view, such nice food (all local and mostly from their own farm) and great owners. They only started in January 2022 with renting the rooms and the services but what they do is sublime. In other words: it won’t get better then this! eccezionale!

Cute hidden gem with relaxing garden and pool with incredible views!

Though close to the busy harbor city La Spezia, there’s a relaxing atmosphere due to the location in a quiet and green neighborhood. With only 3 rooms, it almost feels like a private villa experience. The pool area is stylish and we enjoyed chilling there. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and cool. Try the tasting menu dinner with own farm and regional products. It’s an authentic experience you can’t find with other stays. Our little dog was welcome and enjoyed the garden too. Serena is an excellent host, and did everything in her power to give us a comfortable stay in Cinque Terre!

We wished there were a bit more hotel facilities like a mini bar or little snacks to have by the pool. We heard this is coming soon. This accommodation is brand new, and will only get better!

Sur les hauteurs de La Spezia, nous avons passé un super séjour. Serena était aux petits soins pour nous et nous nous sommes régalé autant au petit-déjeuner qu'au repas du soir. Tout était parfait, si nous en avons l'occasion nous reviendrons !

Heerlijk tot rust gekomen.

Ontbijt was elke dag heerlijk vers bereid. Rustig gelegen en kleinschalig. Lieve en behulpzame gastvrouw. Weet leuke plekjes in de buurt. Kamers zijn schoon. Mooi uitzicht met een heerlijk zwembad. De stad zelf vonden wij iets te massaal met weinig cultuur. Maar hebben veel leuke mooie dorpjes in de buurt bezocht.

De trappen. Maar dat was bekend haha. Parkeerplaats is klein en erg stijl.

Una chicca! Da ritornare

La struttura è bellissima, curata in ogni dettaglio e arredata con gusto. Mi manca già la zona esterna con sauna e idromassaggio con vista su La Spezia, perfetto dopo una giornata passata a passeggiare tra le 5 terre (posizione comodissima per raggiungerle). Assolutamente da non perdere la cena, abbiamo mangiato davvero bene, disponibili tantissimi prodotti vegetariani di loro produzione. La vera differenza la fanno Serena e Diego, padroni di casa squisiti! Noi viaggiavamo con il nostro cagnolino anche lui accolto in stanza con tutti i confort! Coccolati in tutto! Vai via con la voglia di tornarci alla prima occasione! Magari da provare in un’altra stagione, per provare anche la zona piscina.

Tolle Unterkunft über den Dächern von La Spezia/Toskana

Es war ein toller Toskana-Urlaub in einer wirklich sehr liebevollen nachhaltig gestalteten Unterkunft mit sehr sympatischer, persönlicher Betreuung von der Hotelbesitzerin Serena und ihrem Ehemann. Das kleine Hotel/Pension hat nur wenige Zimmer und somit durften wir besten Service genießen mit genialer Aussicht beim Frühstück/Abendessen auf die Stadt La Spezia und den Hafen. Wir können beste Bewertung für das Hotel/Pension geben, der einzige kleine Minuspunkt war der steile und nur durch Treppen erreichbare Zugang vom Parkplatz (oberhalb des Hotels/Pension im Wald) und von der Stadt La Spezia aus Gepäcktransport zum Hotel/Pension somit etwas herausfordernd. Aber die Aussicht, Service, Pool, sowie die toskanische Verpflegung (alles aus eigenem Anbau) und die sehr netten Gastgeber bekommen von uns die höchste Bewertung. Unser Resümee.....jederzeit wieder...einzigartig...und ruhig.
